In an adequately functioning immune system you're not supposed to have mono more than once...unless you get an antigenic variant of EBV...This is possible if you have a new "partner." Generally speaking...

If you haven't been kissing anyone or still have the same partner then you should either consider seeing a specialist (especially if you get another recurrence) or consider wondering if your partner has been fooling around with others.

I'm immune to mono!

Must people carry it and then it just flares up but in some people it can't. My wife had it in high school when we started dating. Never experienced it's problems.

She had strep and mono at the same time. I did get the strep...
