So, I watched the recent TeL vs WHP scrim and HoNCast started using Barter's Spec UI for their coverage. Idejder was spectating too and they talked about Barter's UI for around 30 seconds - the main point here being that S2 looked into the features of Barter's UI and thought about implementing something like that but decided that it doesn't fit the style of the rest of the UI - I completely agree.
However, I think that some of the features of Barter's Spec UI could easily be implemented into the standard UI and would still help i.e. shoutcasters IMMENSELY.

Anyways, my suggestions for the standard UI:
Add the gold/XP advantage/deficit to team stats - should only be one additional line
Make the stats overview panel narrower
Highlight the top value for each of the stats in the stats panel
Display the current gold of a player on his portrait
Make elements of the UI (especially team stats panels and the stats overview panel) transparent (with a setting for how transparent they should be)
