Hiya
Doubtless there are some mw2 posts somewhere, but since I couldn't find any on the last 3 pages, I decided to make one. I've been splitting my time between Hon and MW2 lately (btw iwnet blows) and at lvl 63 have got 8 nukes. I am curious how other people get nukes.
I play DOMINATION games when I want to get a nuke:
gun: ACR - silenced
secondary: akimbo g18's (i htink this is what they're called - the machine pistols)
Perks:Scavenger Pro, Stopping power Pro, Ninja Pro
Claymore and stun grenade
Killstreak rewards: harrier, chopper gunner, nuke
Maps I've gotten nukes on: underpass, wastelandx2, skidrow, subbase(maybe x2), favala, quarry, and i think the railroad map (not sure- cant recall)
I typically run a route from starting point behind other teams starting point and kill 2 or 3 on the way, staying on edges of map. As i run i drop claymores x2 around edges of objects. I get to a nice place and watch a point from a distance pick a guy off and move again to a place close but not the same spot, get another kill. I then retrace my original route back to starting point presuming we still have that point captured. With claymores and some luck I get a few kills on my way back and have harriers, get to 12 or 13, call in chopper gunner, get to 20+. Get final few kills skirting heavily trafficked paths, killing then sprinting fast so they don't come get me. LvL 63.
Ground War
Domination
Gun: M16A4 - Holosight.
Secondary: Javelin
Perks: Scavenger Pro, Stopping Power Pro, Steady Aim Pro.
Claymore and Flash Grenade
Killstreak: Harrier, Chopper Gunner, Ninja Pro
I get nukes often (generally every 3rd/4th map)
It all about knowing where to camp and covering your ass. Move continuously, even if its a hot spot where people keep walking into you sights.

I really wanted to buy this game, but from everything I hear the lag is just terrible on the PC......so i didnt know if it was worth it

The single player is amazing on PC, as is spec ops.
But multiplayer is dead. This is the last CoD game I buy.
They purposely ****ed over PC by putting in this bullshit ass matchmaking system with HOSTS instead of DEDICATED SERVERS.
They claim its easier for new people to get used to it when you can just click go, which isn't even true. All it does is make the game much less enjoyable.
Don't buy it.

I hear EA Games is looking to take advantage of the CoD situation.
by releasing a new Medal of Honor game which is pretty much a direct rip-off of CODMW.
They've stated in a gaming mag it will have dedicated servers.
New medal of honor will be focused on Iraq
i accidentally got one earlier today with P90 rapid fire, rofl.

Simple. :]
When I play now I just play for fun with 5 other friends usually, quickscoping in SnD and joking around. Fun stuff. Hit me up if you guys ever want to play on 360.

Actually, they're the wave of the future.
A future where nazi-istic companies burn all dedicated servers to the ground, use them for slave labor, or gas them.

Play Battlefield Bad Company 2 when it comes out in March. Preorder through Steam now to get in the Beta. It's everything MW2 SHOULD have been for PC and more.

Only thing different I do is play demolition. I believe there are only 2 spawn points for each team so if you have a choppergunner is gg nuke.

I don't even have the nuke unlocked. I used to play Team Deathmatch and Free-for-All only, but very recently (Like 3 days ago) I played Ground-War with some friends and played Domination a bunch of times and got addicted. My favourite game-mode is now probably Domination.
Anyways, my favourite class would have to be:
Primary: SCAR-H with Holographic
Secondary: USP FMJ
Equipment: Semtex, Flashbangs
Perks: Scavenger Pro, Stopping Power Pro, Commando Pro
Kill-Streaks: Predator, Harrier, Pave-Low (I don't use Chopper Gunner much because I'd much rather run on ground than hold down the trigger in a helicopter aiming at red boxes)
Death-Streak: Final Stand

Watched my brother play on the 360. Iunno if it was major lag or what but he ****ing unloaded bullets on this guy, didn't move at all or anything, after he stops the guy decides to just knife him.

I haven't even seen a hacker once on the 360.
This is one thing that pisses me off, people saying all PC games have hackers. Yes, some games in the past have had hackers. But now, any game where some noob gets stomped, they claim hacks. We even had the retard nighthound begging devs to check the replay saying he got maphacked a couple months ago. I would be willing to bet 99% of the hacking accusations are QQ. I don't play MW2 because I refuse to support that shite company (IW) for shafting PC users. Also I don't like playing games where over half my team is hiding in a corner afraid to die because they want to get the biggest kill streak. Sorry, FPS should be about teamwork and coordination.
Also PC > console. Variable sensitivity mouse >>>>>> thumbstick.

I bought this game for PC thinking it would have some valuable things related to Modern Warfare
1) Moddable UI. Modding is Modern therefore it should be Moddable, but it isn't.
2) Why do COMPUTERS have to host games? Like seriously, where the **** are the dedicated servers
3) Better gadgets, more complexity, things like air strikes don't strike me as "modern warfare" at all. The Americans were able to bomb Japan by air so long ago now that it does not make sense how air bombing is modern warfare.
4) Incredibly encouraged teamplay and tactics. Basically, if you do not play with teamplay tactics in mind, you cannot win. The current metagame is to separate from the pack with a camouflage suit on with the perks Cold Blooded Pro, Ninja Pro and Commander Pro and knife people. People have been knifing people since we could make knives, over 2000 years ago. Seriously, nothing "modern" about that.
Anyway, the game was a disappointment, but I hope they listen to us, the actual players, not the developers who THINK they know the players, and give us more modern sofistication, team play, some damn dedicated servers etc.

All of what you're looking for plus better graphics and better sound, should be in Bad Company 2. Check it out.

Epic. I got 7.1 surround sound so I'm always looking for games that take advantage of that. MW2 only has 5.1
I am also hoping HoN eventually releases a 7.1 option XD
Will definitely check out Bad Company 2.

im interested to see if bfbc2 is a bust or not. Although I enjoy some aspects of mw2, i definately understand the gripes. I am, however, worried that bfbc2 will also feel like a console port. I have heard a few people say the game felt uninspired. There were some games, when they came out, they were AMAZING, revolutionary, and super fun. Seems like we haven't had an FPS fit that bill since bf1942's desert combat mod in 2003 (PC). Think about how amazing duke nukem, doom 1, 2, cs, wolfenstein, wolf3d, and MAYBE maybe MAYBE TF2 (portal on a smaller scale - absolutely amazing). Crysis, Farcry, stalker, and CoD just seem to drop the ball on being the new IT game, the game everyone is playing and will continue to play. They bring new graphics but not much else in the way of sustainable online play imo. I dunno

Knifing isn't a problem unless you're trying to go rambo. I mean, you have guns for a reason. Knifing is a problem if you're trying to run out with Model 1887s, not if you're playing smart with an assault rifle.
But yes, almost everyone online is bad too.
Problem with BC2 for me is that the game barely runs on my setup, while MW2 not only looks good but runs great :X
I suspect it's the large, open environments in BC2.

Make sure you set it to DX9, disable bloom, disable HBAO or w/e it is, update drivers, and yeah the beta for BC2 is an older version, the release is better optimized but they want to update the beta client to the release one but aren't sure if they can get that out there before the 25th :[.
