The picture is (yet again) from Final Fantasy however this time
it's a fitting one.

Story:
An ancient god that controlled the aspects of anguish and pain was left
unworshipped for quite some time, and eventually lost most of his power.
Seeing him as a potential asset, the Hellbourne quickly convinced the
ex-god of pain to fight on their side.

Sound:
Eiloran should have a slightly distorted strong male sound.

Attack/Casting Visuals:
Auto-Attack: Shoots a red-black bolt from his hand.
Eiloran's Anguish: Hits his hand into the ground.
Sorrowforce: Spins and shoots the auto-attack.
Pain Dimension: Exactly like in the icon, holds one hand up and the wave
of darkness spreads out from the wrist.

SKILL 1: EILORAN'S ANGUISH

Eiloran's Anguish.

Cooldown: 36
Ability Type: Mini-Nuke / AoE
Targeting Type: Enemy Units
Range: 500

[1] Afflicts a target unit with Eiloran's Anguish 1. Deals 50 Magic damage to targeted unit instantly.
[2] Afflicts a target unit with Eiloran's Anguish 2. Deals 100 Magic damage to targeted unit instantly.
[3] Afflicts a target unit with Eiloran's Anguish 3. Deals 150 Magic damage to targeted unit instantly.
[4] Afflicts a target unit with Eiloran's Anguish 4. Deals 200 Magic damage to targeted unit instantly.

Eiloran's Anguish Effects

Dissipates (and nullifies from self) 12%/16%/20%/24% of all recieved damage as Magic damage to all allied units in a 500/550/600/650 AoE radius
Lasts for 5/8/11/14 seconds or until target unit dies

Advanced Mechanics:
Works the same way as Sand Wraith's Dissipate, except it's an
offensive spell. It's basically just saying "You help him, you die."
Cast it on the main tank and watch people drop just by attacking the tank.
Weakness: Dispellable, and very high cooldown for a normal spell.

Visual: A bolt of darkness flashes from the sky on the target. The
dissipation would be shown as red flashes moving to all targets in range. Very bright so everyone knows when to get away.

SKILL 2: SORROWFORCE

The shadow then materializes inside the enemy, causing physical damage based on Eiloran's strength.

Mana Cost: 60/70/80/90
Cooldown: 5
Ability Type: Attack Modifier
Targeting Type: Enemy Units
Range: 450

[1] Deals 0.5x of STR as Physical damage to target over 2 seconds.
[2] Deals 0.8x of STR as Physical damage to target over 2 seconds.
[3] Deals 1.1x of STR as Physical damage to target over 2 seconds.
[4] Deals 1.4x of STR as Physical damage to target over 2 seconds.

Advanced Mechanics:
This counts as a DPS, so skilled players can deny your target if you use this to kill him.
At Level 1, with 100 STR it would deal 50 damage.
At Level 4, with 100 STR it would deal 140 damage.
With this, if you want powerful orb dps, your priorities should be large STR boosting items such as Behemoth or Symbol.

Visual: A shadow appears inside the target and explodes.

SKILL 3: DARK FORCE

and anguish, Eiloran can create a field of darkness to repel ranged attacks and deal minor damage to nearby enemies.

Ability Type: DPS Passive / Defensive Passive
Targeting Type: Random Enemy Units in 450 Range / Self
Range: 450

[1] Deals 30 damage to a random enemy unit in 450 range every 1.5 seconds. Gives a 14% chance to absorb a ranged attack.
[2] Deals 40 damage to a random enemy unit in 450 range every 1.5 seconds. Gives a 16% chance to absorb a ranged attack.
[3] Deals 50 damage to a random enemy unit in 450 range every 1.5 seconds. Gives a 18% chance to absorb a ranged attack.
[4] Deals 60 damage to a random enemy unit in 450 range every 1.5 seconds. Gives a 20% chance to absorb a ranged attack.

Advanced Mechanics:
Damage type is Physical.
The absorption lasts for 1.5 seconds absorbing all ranged attacks during that time, and has a cooldown of 2 seconds.

Visual: A bolt of darkness similar to his auto-attack shoots from his body.
Passive effect would show a small purple hazy aura around him.

SKILL 4 (ULTIMATE): PAIN DIMENSION

dimension of pain and suffering that grows into a wide area from his position.

Mana Cost: 200/275/350 (250/325/400)
Cooldown: 180 (190)
Ability Type: Fight-Breaker AoE Debuff / AoE Nuke
Targeting Type: Enemy Units In Radius / Self Position, Instant Cast
AoE: 1250/1625/2000

[1] Applies Pain Dimension 1 to all enemy units in the 1250 AoE. The dimension lasts for 4 (5) seconds. Also deals 120 instant magic damage.
[2] Applies Pain Dimension 2 to all enemy units in the 1625 AoE. The dimension lasts for 5 (6) seconds. Also deals 210 instant magic damage.
[3] Applies Pain Dimension 3 to all enemy units in the 2000 AoE. The dimension lasts for 6 (7) seconds. Also deals 300 instant magic damage.

Advanced Mechanics: Buff type is Normal Magic and can be dispelled or removed with Magic Immunity.
It takes 1.5 seconds for the wave to grow to its full size. The spell isn't interrupted if you move while it's still growing.
The skill ends if Eiloran dies. The effect should be like that the dimension just dissolves.

Visual: A giant wave of darkness protrudes from Eiloran's wrist. The screen
would look dark and hazy while inside the Dimension.


Last Thoughts

Well, this is one hero i forgot for a long time. Dug him back up from the back of my head.

1 think that makes me doubt this hero justt a bit.
For a str ranged seems too skill dependent. I mean, looks like one of those heroes that needs shitloads of int. This hero (right now) would work better as a support int hero rather than a STR ranged. :P
Also the summons; 1 HOTBL and they will hit mostly 0. If they hit magic damage it would be a bit better and more balanced and also a ministun. Then it would balanced and the stuns would be a pain in the ass, also a good counter for heroes like tempest with portal key. :D :P

And by skill dependent/Support int i mean; Slow when cast, summons/more slow, random damage and mininuke. Also the debuffs. Would be an awesome Int Support with a lot of int heroes and other heroes that cast a lot. :P

This is just my opinion. If you want to make this a STR Ranged, give him an active-orb so he would be more effiecent alone. Right now he is just one int hero with the main stat STR. I suggest you remove the summon skill if your going to change it to an or something more ''Str:y'' hero. Since that skill won't be really that good late game. :)

I'd have to say the Ultimate is cool!
Still i could see this being a little on the strong side.

The damage in itself is next to nill, when considering the potentials in how deadly this hero could be as an initiator. Dont get me wrong initiators are great. Example legionaire.
However Other than tempests ulti which can be stunned you have a top of the line guy for deadlyness.

at last level it affects units in a 3000 Range Thats huge! take, pharoahs ulti at last level and shoot it. And think of that, but in a circle... On top of the status effects. -magic armor - regular armor, perplexed and revealed! and to top it off its an instant cast. In a team fight id expect the enemy team to die quicker than them even knowing theyve just been rick rolled.

I cant image him being teamed with an engineer. Thatd be nasty. And i just realized, demented shams ulti is -20 armor or something, (cant think off top of my head) and it takes time for it to get there, and then virtually dissapears. This would be instant -14, which is alot. not counting demonic armor or anything else.



=p wasnt trying to sound so harsh, but thats all i could really see. Im no pro at nit picking regular skills. But i try to throw my two cents in wherever i see something questionable.


*edited, just thought, how nasty that ulti would be with a vindicator. since his ulti is about the same time as this one or close to it.

When you think about it more, the ulti is actually balanced as many heroes have an innate armor count of 10 at level 16. Take any agi hero, and his armor wouldn't go under 5 at level 16 when this ult is cast at max level. And the magic armor is really not so significant, since at level 11 it just nearly doesn't null innate magic resistance. And because it doesn't silence, blinking heroes (Dark Lady, Magebane, Wretched Hag) can easily escape from this ult.

People like Jeraziah are an entirely different thing. Because the buff type is Normal Magic, he can effectively prevent a genocide just by shielding someone. Or breaking his ult. I've fixed the AoE, it's now 1250/1625/2000 AoE. I've also added the Advanced Mechanics section to Pain Dimension.

Well, with what youve said, and it modified a little, all i have to ask is this.

Does pain dimension dissapear if you kill Eiloran? Or does it stay for the entire time.
Im just asking because some ultis end when the hero dies (like defiler)

Anywho, i have no qualms about the hero... You updated the mechanics section so it makes sense to me now. And the range. So looks good to me.

Pain Dimension disappears if you kill Eiloran. That fact forces you to buy some tank items (Behemoth) to keep the ultimate up for its full duration because you're going to be focused when you break it.

This hero is a great idea, but i have to agree with the first feedback, he shouldn't be a strength ranged hero with heavy skill dependency. Other than that, awesome design!

Alright, even though the Sandbox is sorta-obsolete now, i still have to go for making heroes in this format, because people with better skills at using the images and stuff in the forum side can make better heroes here than in Dream. That's my opinion. This is also a bump.

I like it but its maybe too depending on its skills. however i like that str bonus damage passive. and make the ult get some aoe damage over sec too instead of only damage with sotm.
