I had never before heard about the iPad. Then I googled it. Wow.

I'm sure the iPad can be useful for some people (it looks like some kind of Palm thing, just checked a pic about the size complaint) but it doesn't really look like anything a mainstream average dude needs. But then again, I base all this on just one picture, so what do I know?

Watching movies on an iPod touch is really nice on a plane ride, I can only imagine how it would be on the iPad. Going to be interesting to see how much effect this has on old media and e-books.

I haven't looked at it myself, but from what I understand; it doesn't have a phone. All of the other things you listed also fit in your pocket. I'd rather have a laptop, considering it does all of the things an iPad does, but it's faster bigger screen, not apple, and doesn't have **** games.

I was really hoping this would be running either a new OS or at least macOS and that it would have an active digitizer. I yearn for the day that a 10" slate gets released, that I can use as a glorified notepad which functions as an actual computer.

I am not a mac fanboy and dislike the iPhone and iPods, but I was really looking forward to this, apple has disappointed me again.
