If you're part of a clan, or just a popular player, then you know how mundane it is when you're waiting on your friends to finish a match.

Wouldn't it be great to join them? Not as a player, but as a spectator. Join their match at any time throughout the match.
To prevent cheaters, you would be asked which team to spectate before joining, and you would not be allowed to speak with anyone outside this specific team while you're connected. To also prevent abuse, there will be a cooldown on joining the same game to avoid people leaving to message their friends, then rejoining to "spy" some more.

The purpose of this would be to entertain players who are patiently waiting for their friends to finish so they can then start a match with said friends.

I was just thinking this on the other day. It would be great, but there's one problem that needs to be solved.

Let's say I'm currently playing hellbourne and my friend wants to watch my play. What if he/she spectates the game as a sentinel and feeds me with info via Teamspeak.

Maybe the problem could be solved so that before joining as a spectator you need to request 1 player ingame to spectate as his friend, giving the vision that is same in replay when selecting certain player?
