Hi honcast staff,

I liked that you guys started experimenting with the increased cam distance. In addition to g_camDistanceMax, increase scene_farClip to get rid of the black areas at the top of the screen. Also, you might need to increase cg_entityCullRange if you start experiencing issues with units disappearing at the edge of the screen. Thanks for the great casts, and keep up the good work!

Will honcast be livestreaming the finals? I know I should be able to find this, but apparantly I'm suffering from a temporary bout of incompetance. I don't see any information about it on your site, but in the Gamereplays Rundown there is the quote: "LOADED will be competing in the Alienware Finals in San Francisco only a couple nights prior to this match". So clearly its soon, and I'm assssumming there will be some commenting, but I can't for the life of me figure out exactly when.

It's not a big deal that it wasn't streamed live. And the party looked super awesome. HoNcast should have definitely made it clear earlier though that there wasn't going to be a live stream.

I use a Razer Carcharias headset and watch tv (move like listen to tv) while playing. They dont block that much sound. But, I bet they could barely hear each other little lone the other team or shoutcaster.

Oh and, there was to be a live feed of the match or event or something. There is a big ass banner at the top of this site that says so.

in the eps (germany) there are weekly intel friday night games (wc3, cs, css), they sit face to face like on those pictures.

I don't think it would be a huge problem with css cs and wc3(unless you mean dota)

In cs and css, each has a strategy on where they are going to run and what not. So after a while you know the other teams strategy and know how to counter. Same goes for wc3, after playing your opponent for years, you know how they will build their teams.

HoN just seems more spontaneous.

Still, good LAN with alienware as a sponsor or support is having top gaming gear which includes really good headphones that don't allow any sound to come from the "outside world". Just like every other eSport tournament. Also it was a showmatch not a tournament game from what I can see in the pictures.

As for the coverage, I missed a lot. Obviously we have pictures but I'd love to see more of a players, the party than the place itself for example.

Interviews are very short, and the one with Team 5 and LOADED are really bad because you discussed nothing for those 3 minutes or 4. Just a tip: If you want to introduce the team or just make a big interview (which is a bad idea btw). Make sure that the person who's the leader / team cpt. sits next to you and talk for the whole interview with some short answers from his team-mates from time to time.

Also taking people that really don't care and give you the shortest answers ever is not the best idea. I didn't get any interesting info. Although it was good to see all the players as now we know how they look like (btw: In eSport world like W3, SC every single website that is known hate to conduct interviews with Asians as they give you the shortest answers ever. Here it was the white boys who said completely nothing ^^)

UPDATES! That's the most important part of the coverage. People want to and need to know what's going on. YOu have like 3/4 updates throughout the whole day, when I am sure that there was so much going on that you should have at least 20/30? With short written interviews posted from time to time.

Because you didn't upload the interviews and the game between 5 and LOAD this coverage was pretty bad. Coverage is when you do everything possible to keep people informed of what's going on in there.

Probably your first coverage ever that's why I'm not bashing it but giving my opinion :) GL next time as Hunter said something about more events and I guess honcast will be involved in'em.

Kinda boring match though, had hoped for a more close match.

And think it's about time to make some changes to portal key as it has become standard to get like 27 of them for each team every game lately.

I was dissapointed at team 5's turtling strat once again but well played by team Loaded. YoDa and Dodo stood out really well and took control of the game. This should end all the "LOADED cannot win without Chu"- talk and it's good to see alot of players rising to that skill level
