Story: The malefic bounty hunter known as the Hitman is wanted for the assassinations of countless Legion soldiers and high ranking officers. Slain defending his brother, he was returned to life by Maliken, who granted him near inhumane attributes. He now leads a one man army against the Legion, forever trying to find his lost sibling.

Hero Concept: An early game ganker, lategame carry and disabler. High movement speed and heavy damage burst allows him to finish off enemy support heroes.

Spells:

Surge: The Hitman's sudden bursts of adrenaline allow him to move at near inhumane speeds for a short duration. Applies Sprint to self for 3 seconds.

Cooldown: 16

15/30/45/60% Hero Transparency

Concept: Allows the Hitman to rush in and catch an enemy by surprise, it helps him with early kills, juking, chasing, escaping, harassing, last-hitting and more. The Unitwalking bonus and Hero Transparency help him escape and prevent him from being blocked by creep waves.

Hailing Dagger: The Hitman hurls a knife into his target, dealing bonus damage and reducing it's movement speed. Applies Wounded to target for 3 seconds.

Deals 100% attack damage +15/30/45/60 Magic Damage
Wounded Effects:
Movement Speed reduced by 20/30/40/50%, effect dissipates over the duration.

Concept: A powerful nuke that allows the Hitman to chase his enemies.
Balancing: The slow wears off, similar to Jereziah's passive or Electricians Cleansing Shock.

Vile Intoxication: The Hitman's blades are licked by venomous chemicals. So much so, that his attacks apply random poisons to the target. All poisons last 6 seconds.
Gives a 5/10/15/20% to apply a poison to the target, poisons of the same type do not stack.
Each poison has a 10 second, independent cooldown.
Life Eater: Reduces health regeneration by 20/40/60/80% and healing effects done to the target by 10/20/30/40%.
Razor Thorn: Deals 10/20/30/40 magic damage per second, damage dealt is non-lethal.
Imp Venom: Reduces armour by 1.3/2.6/3.9/5.2 and magic armour by 0.7/1.4/2.1/2.8.
Plaguewater: Attacks dealt to the target wound the target for an additional 8/16/24/32 Magic Damage.

Concept: Applies a random poison, increasing the overall damage per second (dps) that the Hitman deals to a target. Poisons can only be applied to heroes, this is to prevent the cooldown triggering before a fight.
Action: Passive
Balancing: Only one poison can be applied on attack, and when applied, cannot be applied to a target for another 10 seconds.
Mechanics: Gives a percent chance on attack to apply a debuff, that debuff lasts 6 seconds, and does not stack with itself. A single unit can have all 4 poisons on it.
Note: Should tell the Hitman which poisons are applied, and when they are applied. A small text to the left or right of the screen saying "Plaguewater" for the duration would help the Hitman time his ultimate.

Ultimate - Disembowel
The Hitman impales a target with his blade, striking it twice for reduced damage, and stunning it for a short duration. The strikes deal additional damage for each poison afflicting the target. Damage type is Magical.
Action: Single Target, Enemy units
Mana Cost: 100/150/200
Cooldown: 75/60/45
Deals 30%+5% per poison damage per strike, stuns for 0.5 seconds.
Deals 40%+10% per poison damage per strike, stuns for 1.0 seconds.
Deals 50%+15% per poison damage per strike, stuns for 1.5 seconds.

Concept: A powerful move that becomes much stronger when the target is heavily poisoned. The stun stops the target from moving for a short duration.
Balancing: A very weak ability at lower levels, which becomes weaker without poisons. Its high mana cost and long cooldown make it very situational.
Mechanics: 2 strikes with an interval of about 0.3 seconds, when cast, the hero strikes the target with a normal attack, then an illusion of the hero does the same animation. Like that Jackson Five music video. Mmmmm.... deja vu.

Item Suggestions:
Thunderclaw, Charged Hammer -> Bonus damage, attack speed, a powerful friendly buff and a percent chance on attack to blast the enemy with lightning. A very synergy based item, as it works with his ultimate.
Savage Mace, Brutalizer -> Bonus damage, and a chance on hit to stun the target for additional damage. Again, a powerful addition to his ultimate.
Riftshards -> Massive damage boost and critical strike. A well deserved luxury item for hard working gankers.
Wingbow -> Large damage boost, attack speed boost, armour bonus and evasion. Helps him survive and gives him the potential to destroy enemies within seconds.
Shieldbreaker, Demonic Breastplate -> A very powerful combination when applied with his poisons. Allows for massive damage in a short amount of time.
Frostburn/Frostwolf Skull -> A slow, stats boost, and movement speed increase from Frostburn. A nice item that allows you to chase, escape, slow, farm and more.
Runed Axe -> A nice farming item, allows him to cleave waves with his ultimate. Does not work in conjunction with Eviscerate, as that would be a ranged attack.
Mock of Brilliance -> A large damage increase and AoE DoT, increases his dps quite dramatically at mid-late game.
Frostfield Plate -> Not a highly recommended item, but the armour and mana boost will help out a lot. The AoE nuke/slow is very powerful if used in conjunction with his other abilities.
There are many other items, but vary depending on play style and what opponents you may be facing.

Hero Synergy:
Good:
:deme::jera::ophe::nymp::accu::soulr::pebb::keep:: behe::blac: - All these and more have the potential to babysit. Giving you an early game farm.
:glac::temp::pand::poll::elec::succ: - All have holds, stuns, and reveals that help you get early game kills. The mana regen from Glacius is also very helpful.
:vind::pyro::mage::witc::pest::andr::devo::phar: - All have mana draining or stun lock potential. Very nice synergy.
Bad:
:vind::soulr::andr::pest::keep::jera::pand::vood:: elec::succ::mage::plag::poll: - All these guys and more, have heals, holds, reveals, dots, stuns etc. They will destroy your early game if you're not careful.
:sand::legi::devo::pest::accu::arma: - These guys can take a hit, and deal it back as increasing damage. Be careful around them.

You get a 1/10 for creativity.

I know you probably worked hard on this, but after I read it, it just felt like a generic carry. Somewhat like if you combined Madman and Arachna.

I'll T-Up for your effort, because there isn't really anything wrong with him (excluding numbers).

Well I never thought I'd support a WoW class port into HoN.
But you seem to have captured the rogue for HoN rather well, numbers look pretty good at first glance.
I thought having a potion named Slither Blod that deals DoT is very cute :P
However, doesn't make much sense that slither would take damage from his own poison/blood.

All in all though (even considering it's a WoW port) I support the this suggestion - T UP

i like it but make it so you can pick which poison you get. IE have it be like malikens ability that lets you toggle between different effects and put a CD on switching.

Yeah i have to agree with that, I've seen way to many assassin heroes and i sort of made him along those lines. I might try and make some different abilities later or something to make him unique ;P

Ahahaha yeah it does seem kinda strange, maybe something like the chemicals in voodoo's flask? xD

Having 4 poisons with a toggle would be quite interesting, but maybe a bit too hectic in the heat of battle, i might drop the number to 2 poisons and combine their effects. Thanks for the suggestion ;)

To be honest I prefer the random effect.

I know I use a toggle potion thing for my hero FP, but I like the idea of the random effect thing. AFAIK it's never been done before.

-Reduced the slow-resist effect of Sprint from 25/50/75/100 to 15/30/45/60 and lowered its cooldown to 16.
-Will implement sounds if this gets some more votes.
-Removed Eviscerates ability to Cleave when the Hero has Runed Axe.
-Added an animation for Ambush, stupid like a fox.
-Added sounds for spawning, movement, attacking and death. Let me know what you guys think. I'll implement a funny one in the near future.
-Renamed Eviscerate to Hailing Dagger and Sprint to Surge. This is to prevent copyright issues that may exist yada yada yada etc etc.
-Ok, no idea how I'm gonna get icons, photoshop is being pissy at me. ):
-Renamed Ambush to Disembowel - seems to have more of a brutal effect now ;D
-Renamed the poison "Slither Blood" into Razor Thorn, after all - how can Slither be hurt by his own blood? :P
-Will find icons from a site like Hiveworkshop.com or something similar, I'll eventually be bothered to learn Gimp, until then, these Warcraft Icons will have to do, thanks.

As of now I'd say a definite no, numbers need heavy reworking on the sprint ability which far outweighs benefits of abilities such as Pestilence's flight in my opinion without any of the negatives. Other than that it seems solid but for now I'm not voting to save you from a no vote.

Yeah, i was thinking of reducing the duration of sprint for 3 seconds at all levels.
As to your response, Pestilence's Flight ability grants him maximum movement speed for a much longer duration once he gets items.
Also, i was thinking of reducing the slow effect of Hailing Dagger to 10/20/30/40% and the duration to 3 seconds as well. It's intention is to chase, not to damage - so I think the slow shouldn't be nerfed too harshly.
His poisons seem fairly balanced in my opinion, and his ultimate deals damage based on them. If you're lucky enough to have all four poisons on the target, then the damage should be as follows:
At level 25: His damage would be around 100 (lets just say 100).
Shieldbreaker: +60 damage (without armour reduction)
Riftshards: +75 damage (without crit)
Wingbow: +60 damage
Savage Mace: +80 damage, +180 if the bonus is triggered.
Ghost marchers: 21 damage (i think)
Abyssal Skull: +15% damage (current patch)
100+75+60+180+21+15 = 451.
200% of that is: 902 damage approx.
Plus an additional 20% per poison = an additional 80%
1623 Magical Damage.
Magic armour reduces the damage dealt by around 25% (406 damage)
Reductions = 1217 damage in total....
Hmmm i think you're on to something here - will nerf ASAP.

Certainly, he's more than a carry, he relies on his abilities to deal his damage instead of an auto attack like Scout or Madman. He is a ganker, meaning he is designed to move around a lot, his long range slow and crippling poisons render a single target incapacitated and his ultimate deals large damage and stuns, meaning he can lock down a target for extended periods of time.


I think "The Hitman" is a bit to cheesy. Would be better with a more original name imo.

I'll see what i can do.

Lol, I tought most heroes took 30 minutes to reach that =)

First two are regular (nothing new), third is nice because it's random, but passive, but needs a large nerf (Specially this: Plaguewater: Attacks dealt to the target wound the target for an additional 8/16/24/32 Magic Damage. A wave of creeps would destroy any hero)

Ult is really nice and adds a great sinergy to the hero.

As for the Plaguewater, I suppose I didn't explain in well enough, the bonus damage is only dealt if the Hitman strikes the target, so it's like a percent chance to increase your damage by 32, sort of. This helps in the ult synergy so his ultimate deals an additional 64 Magic Damage if the target has the poison. I might make the ultimate deal physical damage, so there is a blend of both physical and magical sources. I'll get back to you guys on that.

Good skills, especially the 3rd one in which luck is involved (we all love lucky hits don't we ;)). Bad concept - just your random scout/phantom assassin copy. T-up for the hard work but doesn't really deserve to be implemented in-game.

After having my own hero knocked from popular suggestion by a few voters who couldn't even spend a few seconds to post why they disliked, i was going into this hero expecting to dislike.

I was pleasantly surprised.

The first two abilities could use some editing to make them more interesting i like the first ability and all in all eh seems fairly balanced.

He is miles above the average assassin hero/ Mortred remake I see.

I was pleasantly surprised.

The first two abilities could use some editing to make them more interesting i like the first ability and all in all eh seems fairly balanced.

He is miles above the average assassin hero/ Mortred remake I see.

Hmm... it's decent. The hero has a lot of slows, and a sprint. Definitely a chaser.... I wouldn't call him a carry simply due to the lack of scalability, farmability, and low agi/agi gain.

Cool hero. T-UP. Razor thorn seems a little too buff though, with 400 damage over 10 seconds from a passive proc. May want to reconsider the different poisons and maybe get rid of one. All four of those effects on one hero would be pretty nasty. But yeah, cool ideas.

I think you've misread, all poisons last 6 seconds, with 10 second cooldowns. Therefore equating to 40x6=240 Magic Damage over the duration, before reductions.

I love the character in general, but the spell that increases movement speed it way to OP at 16 sec. You could potentially initiate with it and run away with it during the same battle.

Well done! This hero deserves so much more attention.

On another note: It's funny how this hero has gotten 20 T-downs, yet only 3 or 4 people have actually stated WHY they voted as they did.

I love the character in general, but the spell that increases movement speed it way to OP at 16 sec. You could potentially initiate with it and run away with it during the same battle.

Well done! This hero deserves so much more attention.

On another note: It's funny how this hero has gotten 20 T-downs, yet only 3 or 4 people have actually stated WHY they voted as they did.

Voted down, the idea was pretty cool but 1 upping a Rogue-like idea is like not gaming for a year for me: never going to happen.

Gave a T-Up, although how I read it.. your first ability sounds like Ghost Marchers with a fade built in. Well done character overall, not sure how many more ganking carriers HoN needs at the moment, but like I said. Good stuff. Check mine out, any feedback would be helpful.
