I request that we make a rule against thread-shi.tting and hero bashing (such as "hero X suckz!", which inevitably derails the thread), so that we can focus on the replays themselves.

There is a "no flaming" clause in the rules you know. And the "infractions will be dealt accordingly" bit.
Use the Report Post button http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/images/buttons/report.gif if you see any post that breaks this rule. I appreciate the assistance.

That's going to end up being 99% of the new threads in this forums, I promise you. There's already several.

You need a sticky reminding people not to do that.

^ And this obvious bypass of the filter doesn't receive an infraction?

Injustice... I've received infractions for MUCH less.
State your case then, in this case I do not see an infraction as neceesary.

I think OP is confusing having an opinion with flaming. Lots of people feel passionately about the game and may express dislike/like in different ways.

Having different ideology does not make the other people antagonists.

...
True. By 'flaming' I mean player insults (i.e em scrub, br/pinoy loser etc) or hero bashing (i.e scout player).

I guess the main problem is infractions are not public - we can't see who is infracted for what, unlike most other forums out there (such as penny arcade, something awful, etc. where trolls are very common). So there is no deterrence factor from seeing people getting infracted for breaking rules.
