Auto Attackers

We all know em, we all hate em, but how do you get them to STOP auto attacking?


Generally when I play a carry, I'll lane with someone and they will nonstop auto attack, and despite my best efforts to get them to stop ("Please stop auto attacking, you push the lane and make it easier for the enemy to kill us / farm / etc. If you just last hit we can farm easier and have a lower chance of dying")


or something to that effect, and the reply is almost always something like...

"STFU NOOB"
"No ****, I auto attack them to get them low before I last hit"
"I NEED TO LIFESTEAL"


Which, i suppose the last one COULD be a viable excuse, but when you hit for 50, you aren't doing much life stealing, and the enemy harassing you makes you LOSE health.

So, does anyone know how to get these guys to STOP AUTO ATTACKING?

Actually, don't do this, it's one of the few things that is more annoying.

simple. let him be harassed and dont save him. watch him die, ragequit, proceed to get solo experience and last hit

You kill the creeps faster, getting faster to enemy towers, killing off enemy towers, gg.

Abuse the hell out of their autoattacking, weave in the proper way to get every single last hit from them.

They sadly don't realize what you're doing and do the same thing almost ever, but at least all the gold goes to a good cause, namely you.

EDIT: Oh, also, you could choose to deny a lot too. Anti-pushing the lane, could control the damage from autoattackers.

bro, if you can kill an enemy tower in under 10 mins, you're dominating the lane too hard for their auto attacking to matter


otherwise, you force yourself to stop farming, and you lose gold to carry the game later

You shouldn't though, it's almost more important late game because generally you wont be dealing with enemy laners like early game, if you last hit / deny right the lane will never move and you get safe free farm.

1. Autoattacking is almost never good. Even late game, if you autoattack, you push the lane. This is not smart farming. You can deny your own creeps at 50%, making the creep line NEVER progress. Even when I play soulstealer and other aoe heroes. Only push if there's a team fight imminent- so you technically push two lanes.

To answer the question, whenever my teammate autoattacks like a retard, I just creep pull like a bigger retard. He gets the picture and usually ****s off because he's losing hp fast by just standing there.

Do you not realize how boring the early game gets when all you're fkn doing is standing there waiting for that deny threshold?

Yes getting the last hits and being a kpro elite last hitter is the best way to farm...
But f**k it, I'd rather have a challenge on my hands than sit there like a douche acting like the most elite player in the world just because you know how to press the H button.

*note that I make a habit of doing SOME auto attack damage between last hits... eg: creep1=100hp, creep2=75hp, creep3=40hp.
Hit 1, last hit 3, wait for last hit on 2.

Yes getting the last hits and being a kpro elite last hitter is the best way to farm...

Yes, playing is a more effective way to play the game, and I'll probably lose the game for my team by not doing it...

If all your doing is standing there waiting for that deny threshold, you are doing it wrong.

Your mind should be preoccupied with the mini-map looking at where enemies are, harassing the enemies in your lane, and avoiding gettting harassed yourself.

All of that should occupy the time you are "waiting for the deny threshold".

Yes, anti-pushing is rather impossible unless you can do a ton of damage and one shot your creeps from 50%.

I find breaking even rather easy though.

I'm telling them I have a hard time with the enemy heroes around & that I'd love to see them attacking the heroes instead of the creeps. Usually works.
