Antigrav Pillar
http://monte.d2nsa.de//HoN/Suggestions/Gravitron/s1-Antigrav_Pillar.jpg
Manipulate the Newerth's magnetic field at target location to create an Antigrav Pillar which literally will make foes go off.

Allo. Targets: Ground, Enemy units.
Mana Cost: 120
Cooldown: 12 seconds
Cast range: 1500
Duration: 1/2/3/4 seconds (slow)
Effects: After 2s the Antigrav Pillar will be created which will blow up foes in a 225 aoe for 1.5 seconds. Upon landing they take 120/180/240/300 damage and are slowed by 30% for 1/2/3/4s.

Notes:
-Copy of Kunkka's (DotA) Torrent ability.
-Affected enemies are stunned (1.5s) while in air and can still be attacked.
-A visual effect at the target location will be shown to allies.

Magnetic Aura
http://monte.d2nsa.de//HoN/Suggestions/Gravitron/s2-Magnetic_Aura.jpg
For a short time you can increase polarity to power up yourself and nearby allies.

Allo. Targets: Allied Units; Self
Aura Range: 400
Mana Cost: 60/80/100/120
Cooldown: 30 seconds
Duration: 15 seconds
Effects: For the duration you gain an aura that increases movement speed by 6/9/12/15% and gives a 10/20/30/40% chance for all projectiles to be deflected (ranged attacks). Satellite will travel at double speed for the duration.

Notes:
-This is not a permanent aura, only applies to you and allies in 400 range of you for the duration of the spell.
Lodestone
http://monte.d2nsa.de//HoN/Suggestions/Gravitron/s3-Lodestone.jpg
The strong magnetic field of Gravitron causes an iron meteorite to passively orbit around him, damaging all foes it hits.

Range: 350/350/350/350 (radius), 60/60/60/60 (coalition size)
Effects: Deals 20/30/40/50 physical damage on impact. The natural satellite travels one orbit per 2 seconds.

Notes:
-The dmg is not dealt inside the radius, only along the circumference.
-U=2*r*Pi ... should mean that the lodestone travels at ~110 units per 0.1s [2198 (U)/ 2s] (really not sure how this translates in "movespeed" ingame.)
-Anyway, it means at lvl4 it deals 25 dps. Though it's not easy to hit/hinder the enemy from running or going melee.
-Good for farming; make sure though you don't push when you don't want to push (early game).
-Staff of the Master could add a second Lodestone, doubling the effect of this skill (just an idea).

Supernova (Ultimate)
http://monte.d2nsa.de//HoN/Suggestions/Gravitron/s4-Supernova.jpg
Gravitron maximizes his gravity forces for a short time, turning himself into a Black Hole, sucking all enemies to his position just to damage them and push them back in a massive supernova explosion.

Allo. Targets: Enemy units
Mana Cost: 200/250/300
Cooldown: 120/110/100 seconds
Duration: 0.5s (suck-in), 1.50/2.25/3.00 seconds stun after Supernova forceback.
Range: 450 (suck-in range), 325 (Supernova forceback range)
Effects: Deals 100/200/300 damage, pushes 325 units back (all units will be uniformly distributed onto the 325 radius circle, so some may be pushed to the one side and some to the other) and stuns for 1.50/2.25/3.00 seconds.

Notes:
-This means all enemies you catch (suck-in) will be stunned for 3.00s (at lvl4) in a position where they'll be hit by your satellite/lodestone (if you don't move). We remember: It deals 50 dmg, which translates to 300+75 dmg (3.00s stun, 2 sec orbit travel time --> 1.5 hits theoretically)= 375 dmg (not considering any magic resistance).
Now, if 'Magnetic Aura' was activate, the lodestone would travel one orbit per 1s, which would increase the dmg to 300+(50*3). With SotM & Magnetic Aura we'd even have 2 lodestones revolving each once per sec, so it would be 300+(50*3)+(50*3) dmg. 300 magic damage + 300 physical damage (only with Staff of the Master and the
other spell active). 300 magic dmg are 225 dmg after base reduction.
--> So in the best case scenario you deal 225+300 dmg, while the 300 dmg can be heavily reduced by armor (agi carries usually have >50% phys dmg reduction), but you can also use this to your advantage by buying Shieldbreaker and even better a Daemonic Breastplate (or team up with Soul Stealer/Demented Shaman).
Recommended Items:
:RunesOfTheBlight: :HealthPotion: :HomecomingStone: :FortifiedBracelet:
:EnhancedMarchers: :Portalkey: :Shieldbreaker: :StaffOfTheMaster:
:FrostfieldPlate: :DaemonicBreastplate :BehemothsHeart: :Mock:

Role:
Initiator, Ganker, Anti-ranged

Voice:
"I love the fizzling."
"Come closer."
"Birds of a feather do NOT flock together."
"I have a grip on you."
"My compass seems broken."
(And some fizzling sounds (thinking of transformators) should be part of his soundset (when you give a move order for e.g.))

Conclusion:
Antigrav Pillar: Hard to land spell, but very versatile. The slow allows to get additional attacks and lodestone impacts on the target. The stun/slow along with your movespeed buff from Magnetic Aura will make it easier to land the Ultimate.
Magnetic Aura: Teambuff. Extra movespeed is excellent for ganks and escape moves. The projectile deflection adds survibility and will be a doom for ranged carries (--> counter-pick). Since it buffs your Satellite while active it helps with your dps and also when farming.
Lodestone(s): Will give enemy melee heroes in your lane a hard early game due to automatic harrassment. Makes farming easier early and especially later (also nice when stacking neutrals). You should be able to at least hit all melee creeps in a wave at the same time with it (=10/15/20/25 dps per creep). Scales well with -armor items/spells. Your movement/positioning and your foes movement will influence the number of hits - for e.g. if you come from behind and they run you can hit them more often.
Supernova: The main reason why he will be picked. An excellent initiate spell with Portal Key. Lodestone(s) combined with Magnetic Aura combined with -armor items/spells will make it an incredible combo. Throw in a well timed Antigrav Pillar and you'll be a matchwinner.

Con's: Extremely poor stats and low base dmg. Poor attack range. Needs Portal Key.
Pro's: Very powerful spell combo. Long range disable. Challenging and therefore fun gameplay (because you need to aim and position yourself well instead of just right-click attack like some other heroes).

Allies that work especially well with Gravitron: Demented Shaman, Soul Stealer, Pestilence (all have Armor Debuffs). Pestilence's stun (350 aoe) also works pretty well there. Of course all aoe dmg dealers blend well with him aswell.
Illusion rune is awesome (illus gain their own Satellite(s) - though Geometer's Bane is not a good item for him. Invisibility also is not really advantagious, b/c the Lodestone will still be visible around you and deal dmg. Antigrav Pillar has to be used carefully, since your mana pool won't allow to spam it. And the Ultimate + Portal Key + Magnetic Aura Combo itself is pretty mana intensive, so an ally that provides you with energy is very helpful (since you might need other items more than mana enhancing ones) - Glacius, Nymphora and allies with a Ring of Sorcery will be a great help.

PS: There have been quite a few gravity themed hero-suggestions so far, and I think the concept has the probably best potential. It's very unlikely that there will never be a 'gravity' hero in HoN.

Lodestone is really interesting. Does it inherits orb effects? (not item damage, but orb effects)

And about the ultimate, which radius does it sucks in? enemies are disabled while sucking in? is it instant or does it has casting time?

Cool hero :)

<- Fan of your work.

Skill 1, like you said, Kunkka port.

Skill 2, if by Satellite you mean Lodestone that makes sense. Otherwise I must have misread something.

Skill 3, HAMMERDIN RAWRAWRAWRWAR. But anyway, (for those of you who don't understand the reference go buy Diablo 2) good idea :D

Skill 4, like Magnataur's ultimate but instead they fly back again. Has negative synergy with first spell though (unless first spell range is wide enough to encompass the push back from this spell, in which case disregard this statement because I don't feel like checking the numbers).

Great work again, T-Up.

his ults backwards it should explode then suck enemies in if hes a supernova going critical and pushing enemies out just to suck them in is a bad idea :3

like it but the SotM improvement does not fit with the usually sotm effect :O
the lodestone is not an ultimate

Awesome, only thing is your hero creations all use Guild Wars skill tiles, which will be disarrayed as copywright.

Just be careful if it is implemented HoN.

Might be a little too badass. Might need to put a negative effect on aura, like he can't move while cast time goes or something?

S2 obviously wouldn't use these icons.

I like it even tho magnetism has nothing to to with gravity forces : P Described as it is it would only affect metal made enemies, or enemies wearing metal armors.

umm... if you walk in a circle around an enemy would you be able to hit the person wit h lodestone say.... 10 times in one orbit????

it seems like that's a possibility in the describtion, maybe you should add an effect that says they can't be hit more by lodestone within .5secs of being hit, or something... maybe .1 but if it gets that rediculous something is probably wrong...

and for the aura maybe have him loose the move speed or have some of the projectiles redirect partial damage to him...

Good hero, T-Up on concept, but one small question: wouldn't Loadstone work better as an Ult if you buffed it?
But that might be too similar to Defiler....
Anyways T-Up, mate!

Like it, (especially since he is SR) though i really wouldnt mind if you gave him an ability that synergizes better with him beeing ranged instead of antigrav pillar.

Your hero is quite strong, especially the ult which is tempest ult ++ (the knockback + stun is OP)

This is a really cool hero concept, maybe the abilities can be more interesting and some might need to be changed, tuned but the concept of magnetic monster doing all sorts of that kind of stuff is cool.

Ult is pretty OP.

Reduce the stun duration slightly, and make it so enemies are invulnerable during the .5 suck in time, and I'm on board

Legionnaire
04-16-2010, 07:19 PM
hmm. he kinda seems like magnus - magnataur (http://www.dotastrategy.com/hero-56-MagnusMagnataur.html).

ofc, if this was a port, it isnt a direct one. like the hero concept, reminds me of one of my fav heroes.

needs a little tweaking but overall pretty good

I like the concept and the general "feel" of the hero from reading your post.

Though the ULT does seem just a tad OP, so play around with the numbers a little :]
Other than that, I'm with ya :3

Edit: Btw, aren't those GW icons? I was wondering where everyone found icons for their hero suggestions ( As I'm working on a few hero's of my own, and I'd like it to look rather nice, then per say looking like it took 30 mins )

What? Kunkka>all, I want to see him ported. I will strongly hope your hero is not implemented.

they can implement him without the kunkka's torrent.

05-06-2010, 12:24 PM
He seems like a really cool initiator/supporter, but the ranged deflection part of his magnetic aura seems very powerful, maybe it could be toned down or made self only? But you probaly know if he's OP better than i.

DeathCall

Personally I think I would alter the skills a bit and maybe some extras on him.

1st: Make his attack melee. You'll see why when I propose skill changes. Because of this maybe increase his Strength and Intelligence by 2.

Antigrav Pillar: Make it at your location and make it a giant slow that starts at 100% and over 1/2/3/4 seconds reduces to 0 and also improve damage and reduce mana cost. This is to synergize with an ultimate remake and allow Kunkka to be fully ported.

Magnetic Aura: Reduces time by half instead of set number. Nothing else needs changing.

Lodestone: Make the range adjustable up to a range of 450. Synergizes with new Antigrav Pillar and Ult.

Supernova: Change stun to when they're sucked in. Stun duration stays same. After 1.5/2.25/3 seconds those caught in it get flung out at 1000 a range of 800. If they collide with terrain such as cliffs and trees they take an extra 100/175/250 in addition to the 100/200/300 from the sucking in. This allows you a chance to kill enemies who are low hp that would escape straight after the stun due to maybe blink or things like :TabletOfCommand:

Hope these changes make sense. This would make a very viable hero that would be picked competitively.

(Nah just kiddin, already voted yes long ago :D)

An idea: Lodestone could work a little like :engi: turret - it could inherit all orbs and exclusives except lifesteal, in which case a slow would be a great choice, and the orbit time could reverse scale with attack speed (say, maybe orbit time = 2x attacks per second in seconds).

These_Balls
05-03-2011, 05:32 AM
Lodestone used by Silhouette, granted you suggested this before silhouette. But still basis for not being implemented as it's already ingame.
Antigrav pillar used by Gladiator
Ulti used in weakened form by Tempest
magnetic aura , variation of it by hammerstorm and zephyr

Too much similar with others to warrant S2 making it a hero
