View Full Version : warbeast level 1 jungle
ok. rarely play this guy, or this game at all nowdays, but when i do finally random him. i am unsure of what to exactly get for level 1 jungle or if it is even possible.
i know i can just practice mode it up, but i dont have time until sunday :/
anyways.
i always run into wolves getting destroyed by cat warriors or i just run oom.
so im thinking.
someone buys a courier of course.
hatchet.
mana pots.
courier ring of teacher?
I wouldn't recommend jungling at level 1.
Start with a
175 Guardian Ring
225 Logger's Hatchet
100 Health Potion or 100 2x Mana Potion
Take your 3rd skill (+base damage +atk speed) at level 1.
Go to Legion Bot/Hellbourne Top and just last hit a few creeps. At levels 2 and 3, skill your Hellhounds to level 2. When you have the money, pick up a Scarab (325) from the shop to complete your Ring of the Teacher.
At level 3, disappear into the jungle, and come out in 15 minutes with a Shrunken Head and Abyssal Skull and have a party. :warb:

Level 1 Jungle = pull, then proceed to solo some small creeps until level 3.

laning until lvl 3 is just not a smart move.
1.It slows down your leveling speed
2.It slows down your lanemate's leveling speed
3.Jungling at lvl 1 for warbeast is complegely do-able

easiest way to jungle at level 1 is to spawn wolves from fountain and regen your mana to full then rush to the level 1 camp to clear it real fast. after that you can go to either level 3 camp and either pull, or clear it if it is an easy camp. Once you hit level 2 you can do any non catman camp carefully, and after level 4 you can do any camp with little micro.

Get ring of teacher and 2x mana potions. That way you dont really need a courier nor you need to get back to fountain. It requires a bit of micro but its completely doable, can provide some replays if you want. Point is to tank with wolves, and switch so they are not dying all the time. Starting with a pull is a good idea, if you are on hellbourne side, pull easy creeps first, than pull one of medium creeps into the fight. You should be lvl 3 before mid lane tbh. Best way is to rush abyssal, than steamboots and at lvl 7-11 depending on your preferences, kill a kongor, solo. The last part is most important, its not only about token bug huge xp gain. Skillbuild is easy wolves -> passive -> wolves -> passive, ulti at 6 get a howl before doing kongor. I prefer lvl 3 summon, lvl 4 passive, lvl 1 howl and ulti - level 9 to get a kongor pretty fast.
I just watched his movie - using a ulti during kongor fight helps a lot. Lvl 1 howl is also a good thing, dmg boost to you and your creeps than is huge at such low lvl.

If you have random gold go for
Ring of the Teacher
Hachet
2x Mana Pots
Otherwise you're best off laning until lv3.
Ring of the teacher + 2x mana pots, and do the fountain + wolves thing the guy above mentioned.
Go for the easy camp (pull it out too so it spawns again at 1:00, or just stack it). Only fight orges, magic immune dudes, and the easy camp until you hit level 3-4. Don't do catmen or minos before 5.
I'm assuming know how to micro wolves... Pull back low hp ones so they don't die. Don't tank creeps until you have lifesteel, ever, full stop. Pull if you can (really helps).
Kongor once you have steamboots and lifesteal. Should be level 8-9.
PS. Bring 4-5 mana pots when you kongor.

a full manabar + a health potion is enough to kill kongor in one go.
basic strategy, wolfes tank until they become red, send both back, and tank with warbeast untill you can resummon them (you will take quite some hits, can be dangerous). resummon them, let them tank and use health potion.
actually the fastest way, but can be a danger if you are not taking care of your life.

You can Kongor at 7 with nothing but treads and abyssal as long as you have full health and mana. Try it, just make sure to micro your hounds so they don't die to kongor's bash proc.

I used to do kongor at level 8 with abyssal, shield, hatchet, 1-2 heal pots and a couple of steamboots components depending on how much gold I had, starting at about 12 mins in NON-easy mode. I start the game with 2 mana and RoTT, I lane until 3 pick up hatchet, then take on double-easy camp and jungle from there, so does anyone know the numbers for a jungler-only?
The youtube video someone posted it looked like the guy reset the game and took on kongor at about 1 minute in, so he would be considerably weaker than when you would normally go for him...
The heroesofnewerthguide video does the same, a level 7 warbeast killing kongor 30 seconds into a game, no wonder he doesnt use any of his mana pots.
Kongor has an aoe ability with a fairly short cooldown so using healing pots while hitting him isn't a good idea.

the guy had increadible spawnluck, wouldn't surprise me if he was lvl 7 around the 8-10th minute.

mmm its so easy to do lvl 1 warbeast..... you double spawn or triple and keep stackin and then pull your creeps you gain lvl twice as fast as regular neutralin and gold and also since your creeps die due to double+ stacks your enemies at the lane wwill not level
ok thanks. gonna play around when i can.
my next question then.
how fast can you hit 6 via double pulling and stacking?

if you random and someone on your team gets a courier then you can jungle at lvl 1 with hatchet, RotT and Heal pot. Run heals and items with courier, rotate 2 hounds and yourself to spread creep dmg across all 3 and just run yourself regen when you need it. If the solo bot gets wards too then even better.
It can be done.
If I don't random I normally lane til lvl 3, buy hatchet, guardian ring and heals at the start. Get all the lane last hits til lvl 3 (or as many as I can), buy hungry spirit and trinket of resto in sideshop and have a v quick abbysall skull.
The standard item build is:
Abysall skull
Steamboots
Shieldbreaker
SOLO KONGOR
Shrunken Head
Symbol of Rage
Buy wards if you must, but it's better if support get them.
Skill builds vary but invariably include maxing hounds as early as possible. I normally go Primal rage over battlecry but some ppl don't.

abysall skull >solo kongor >then proceed with your items.
if you kill him with lvl 8 you will reach afterwards lvl 10 and can immediatly run to the red creepspawn in the near*

solo kongor before steamboots?
Also, if I micro the hounds so they don't die I never have any mana problems. I'm assuming you go battlecry and that's why you need mana. If you get the RotT early enough then mana should not be a problem.

Yes, solo Kongor before steamboots. It's quite possible.
You'll definitely have mana problems with RotT if you don't have at mana pots. Hounds have a timer, regardless of how well you micro.

Get your support to buy a flying courier and get yourself a bottle, then you have pretty much unlimited mana and hp to jungle with since your jungle is so close to the well.
Also means you don't need lifesteal so you don't have to put off a shrunken for it
a full manabar + a health potion is enough to kill kongor in one go.

No, not it's not, not unless you get there really really fast. Like level 8 at 14 mins with skull and steamboots.
I'm talking no-ult btw.

Re: Kongor: I'll try that
Re: heal vs mana
If i get a quick hungry spirit it's fine, if i get unlucky with creep types i still need a heal pot. If you get the scarab before the guardian ring and hold off on the ring til you have all the other parts of skull you get more mana regen and don't need mana pots. I will only very occasionally need a manapot if i lose my hounds (again due to creep types, catman aoe etc)

When you are about to fight a catman, minotaur, or a vagabond leader, just deposit one of you wolves into Bill's PC. Then they won't use their abilitiies to ruin you since it triggers on 3 units. Also, my starting items for war beast jungle is ring of the teacher, or just scarab if nobody buys me a courier. The thing you need most is mana regen so you can keep spawning your wolves. Then go straight for abyssal skull, starting with lifesteal or if you go back to base before 900 gold, just get a ring of regen and a hatchet.

Never had any problems as jungling lvl 1. You just need Guardian ring, hatchet and mana potions. Use your wolves to tank creep pack, when one wolf gets low hp pull it it back and let other wolf tank. With this you get max damage on creeps. I dont really know is howl or passive better for jungling, usually I go for passive first and then howl because mana is limited in early.
When you have 325 gold get scarab from side shop to finish ring of teacher and now you shouldnt have any problems with mana. Then trinket of resto and hungry spirit. Finally finish you abyssal skull and you should be ready to gank when your ulti is ready.

I find it's better to rush the hungry spirit before other parts of skull, and only gank the lane if it is a sure thing (I mean TOTALLY sure). You don't want the enemy seeing your farm unless you're getting yourself a double kill.

Show's how to level 1 jungle. Hit level 8 in 10 mins and had killed kongor by 13. I completely dominated the game.
