Flame Disciple


Vote on concept, not numbers.

as it may be able to be changed.

Not exactly what hero will look like. Just to make thread not one big wall of text. Hero sword would be a different design too.

1. Phoenix Blast:

The Flame Disciple leaps into the air towards his target, slamming the ground emitting a blast of fire, dealing damage and burning those around him for a small period of time.

Level 1: Deals 40 Impact damage, Burns nearby targets for 5 damage per second and slows by 5% for 4 seconds.
Level 2: Deals 80 Impact damage, Burns nearby targets for 10 damage per second and slows by 10% for 4 seconds.
Level 3: Deals 120 Impact damage, Burns nearby targets for 15 damage per second and slows by 15% for 4 seconds.
Level 4: Deals 160 Impact damage, Burns nearby targets for 20 damage per second and slows by 20% for 4 seconds.

Cast Type: Active
Cast Range: 500
Target: Posistion
AoE: 300
Mana Cost: 90/100/110/120
Cooldown: 12
Damage Type: Magic
Note:

Maximum damage possible at level 4 is 240

Range of leap may not be the same as the video
In HoN Heroes sword would be on fire and upon landing will emit a fire nova in a 300 radius.

2. Fire Wall:

The Flame Disciple creates a wall of fire spanning 600 units in front of him for 10 seconds. Any enemy who passes through the fire will take Damage over time and suffer a penalty to their move speed. While increasing the speed of allies who pass through it.

Level 1: Slows by 5%. Deals 5 Damage per second for 4 seconds. Increases ally move speed by 5%, reduces to normal over 1 seconds.
Level 2: Slows by 10%. Deals 10 Damage per second for 4 seconds. Increases ally move speed by 10%, reduces to normal over 2 seconds.
Level 3: Slows by 15%. Deals 15 Damage per second for 4 seconds. Increases ally move speed by 15%, reduces to normal over 3 seconds.
Level 4: Slows by 20%. Deals 20 Damage per second for 4 seconds. Increases ally move speed by 20%, reduces to normal over 4 seconds.

Cast Type: Active
Cast Range: 600
Target: Vector Targeting
*Target a position and drags the mouse in a given direction to create the Fire Wall.
Mana Cost: 90/95/100/110
Cooldown: 20
Damage Type: Magic
Duration: 10

Note:

The effects of this spell will contiune for 4 seconds after they leave the fire wall. If they pass through it again the time will be reset.

3. Incinerate (Passive):

Surrounded by a shield of fire the Flame Disciple not only takes less damage, it also burns those who try attack him.Each time the Flame Disciple is attack the targets attack speed is reduced and they burn for a short period of time taking.

Level 1: Attack Speed is reduced by 1%, enemy takes 2 Damage per Second over 4 seconds. Stacks 6 times. Armor increased by 2.
Level 2: Attack Speed is reduced by 2%, enemy takes 4 Damage per Second over 4 seconds. Stacks 6 times. Armor increased by 4.
Level 3: Attack Speed is reduced by 3%, enemy takes 6 Damage per Second over 4 seconds. Stacks 6 times. Armor increased by 6.
Level 4: Attack Speed is reduced by 4%, enemy takes 8 Damage per Second over 4 seconds. Stacks 6 times. Armor increased by 8.

Note:

Maximum Attack speed reduction at level 4 is 24%. Maximum DPS is 32. Lasts 4 seconds.

4. Inferno (Ultimate):

The Flame Disciple thrusts his sword into the ground, summoning a powerful Fire Tornado surrounding him that burns those around him within a 150 radius. After 2 seconds the Tornado explodes, damaging and burning those within a 300 radius.
Can be boosted by Staff of the Master.

Level 1: Tornado deals 75 Damage per second for 2 seconds. Final AoE deals 150 Damage and stuns for 1 second. Target is burned for 10 Damage per second over 4 seconds.
Level 2: Tornado deals 100 Damage per second for 2 seconds. Final AoE deals 175 Damage and stuns for 1.5 seconds. Target is burned for 15 Damage per second over 4 seconds.
Level 3: Tornado deals 125 Damage per second for 2 seconds. Final AoE deals 200 Damage and stuns for 2 seconds. Target is burned for 20 Damage per second over 4 seconds.
Level 4: Tornado deals 150 Damage per second for 2 seconds. Final AoE deals 250 Damage and stuns for 2 seconds. Target is burned for 25 Damage per second over 4 seconds.

Cast Type: Active
Cast Range: Melee
Target: Self
AoE:250/500
Mana Cost: 180/160/140/120
Cooldown:160/120
Damage Type: Superior Magic

Note:

If the target gets hit by every possible source, they will take 75/100/125/150 damage twice (total of 150/200/250/300 damage) then take another 150/175/200/250 damage when the tornado explodes. Then 10/15/20/25 dps for 4 seconds.
Maximum damage possible at level 3 is 530
Maximum damage possible at level 4 is 650
Level 4 is with Staff of the Master.

I want this hero to lean towards being an initiator/ganker. So if you have any ideas for a skill let me know (even if it involves replacing one).

I'm not sure what I want to do with the 3rd spell. I was thinking something to help him survive seeing as he would be one of the 1st ones into a fight.

Currently no story for this hero. If anyone is interested in writing one feel free. Will rename hero/abilities if it helps with the story/concept.

I want to change his Fire Wall ability a little bit too. Probably rework the + Move Speed to allies into something else.

Also

looking to change his 3rd ability.

I was thinking it should be something to help him survive after initiating a gank. But i think it needs a few changes from where it is atm.

So if anyone has ideas for a new skill or changes let me know.

Ok, I just read over the abilities and they are all really nice. Only thing I noticed is how you didn't put how long the fire lasts (at least I couldn't find it). Having everything with a burn affect is neat tool.

I really like the idea behind skill 2, it might even be a little too powerful, if it was buffed up in numbers just a little it would be an ult, which would actually be kinda neat. I only think it's so powerful really, because it blocks enemy sight, which would be a huge advantage in fights. You could consider switching his ult and skill 2, with adjusted numbers of course. If skill 2 did become his ult I would suggestion adding something like an armor reduction.

Good job! This hero could go a long way!

So basically, every skill burns the opponent. Might need to try something else there. Every single skill has a burning effect that does damage, isn't that redundant ? Just saying.

But he looks cool nonetheless. Pretty much a nuker.

Well he is fire, fire burns :D.

Though it just got implemented on Pyromancer so a bit similar now :(

I think you should change it from Cinder Knight to Cynder Knight, then he'd be perfect... Just my opinion though ;D

How long what fire lasts?

the Burning effects all last 4 seconds if that's what you mean.

his 2nd ability doesn't block line of sight any more. I forgot to remove it from that section, because like you said it is pretty strong.

Oh I meant the fire wall, I still can't find a duration on how long it is intended to last.

Um wow don't think i put a duration in :S lol. Unless I accidentally deleted it. I'll put it at about 10 seconds for now.

But I want to change the spell a bit in terms of the effects it does. Just not sure what exactly.

The only think i really dislike is that if this somehow gets ported... there even more aoe stun.. :S Please Give it some thought. :D

Yeah but everyone said if he is an initiator he pretty much needs a stun or something.

and i can't be bothered changing it much atm lol. Maybe one day :)

Well, if you put it that way.. i suppose.
Just like to point a fact that and initiate can go without the stun :D
But an idea, Since it's a tornado, and it sucks. I mean like a tornado does.
Why not do something like suck everyone in range in to this one point where you put the ultimate. If i get yer skills right this also would synergize with your skills :)
And if you can, go for a massive slow. If everybody sucked to this particular point the stun would be unnecessary. So with a slow like... 75% and decreasing over 5 - 10 seconds (depends on the level).
But you'll get a t-up from me. =)
Hon just needs a larger hero pool for this hero to fit in since it has toooooooo much aoe stun and damage.. But i like this hero :) I bet the skills would also look cool =D
And also, you could consider making this a STR ranged hero, it would fit the theme nicely also and HON is missing STR RANGED :)

Please check out Aseriel v2.0 ;) Tell me what you think about it. It's a Anti-Carry Carry. And i need ideas for the ultimate. If you give me ideas, i'll check out your ideas. Just PM me when you need something but i'll expect something in return :D
Ps. I'll add the synergies and Item build later on for Aseriel. :)
