This is true, but there is actually NOTHING on the rifles themselves. It was only ever on certain scopes used only by Rangers and SF. There were a few articles about this in the Army times but its not really a big deal. We still use the same scopes today as far as I know, it didn't affect their contract with the Pentagon.

Besides, what's so bad about being conservative? People are trying to preserve their values, just because YOU don't personally follow those values doesn't mean you shouldn't respect the values of others. I'm an Atheist btw. I really can't stand atheists that actively bash religious folk though, as much as I can't stand religious folk bash other religion/atheists.

Religion is(or at least, should be) a personal belief, and that should be respected. And for many people, god(s) do(es) help them in their lives, that is an irrefutable fact. The only thing that can be debated is whether (the) God(s) helps them physically through divine intervention or divine communication, or whether "god(s)" give them the inspiration and hope they need to help themselves
