I think this should go in this forum.

My idea for madman. Simply because the nerf for his stalk just feels like way too much. -25% movement speed after using it just seems like a penalty for using a skill and it really shouldn't be like that.

My idea:

Instead of: Max movement speed for 4 seconds then -25% movement speed after finish.

Have: Max movement speed for 2 seconds lowering to normal movement speed over the last 2 seconds.

It just feels wrong at the moment.

The -25% is a pretty poor way to balance this move. I like this idea. Kinda like Electrician's ult.

The speed dip after his stalk ends is not only a great balancing function, it fits his "reckless" theme. I'm not altogether against any suggestions I'm just saying the most recent nerf feels fits really well in my opinion.

The thing is madman is already hella squishy, the stalk only lasts 4 seconds and it was really the only chance you had of escaping, even with a stun aswell players can still easily catch up to you. Not saying he should be ungankable but it was a highlight of him being able to use it to escape.

I'd like to see it speed up to max movement speed by 3 seconds in or something, making it easier to catch him with a stun right when he stalks cause he'd be at pretty close to normal ms at first.

argh stop it u guys with all ur QQs do u really want S2 to turn this game full of imbas right after they listened to a Slither so weak QQ? when they dnt know it's just them screwing themselves and doesn't know how to use him well?

For madman, the nerf was hell alright, I mean c'mon, dnt be stupid enough to run through straight paths where ur enemies know where ur headed during stalk, try going somewhere else where the enemies cnt excpect u to go during stalk, like hide in a corner or something. easy as that. /thread

Madman wasn't imba pre nerf, he was just very high tiered, there was no "OMG madman we lose" it was just, its a madman, lets play well and not let him farm. Which goes for every carry in the game. This way it's still a nerf but in my opinion is the best way to balance between your "OP" and what is a punishment for using a skill, which shouldn't happen.

Oh and most smart opponents will check juke spots rather then a straight line. Well atleast thats what I do and 7/10 of the times madman is there.

I think it was an ok nerf, he was pretty good before and he is pretty good now as well.

I'm not the biggest fan of the stalk nerf, but it's bearable.

What doesn't make sense to me is that as it stands right now, the penalty is removed if you come out of stalk on ur own. It makes sense if u autoattack or barrel roll. But ppl have been exploiting this to just toggle steamboots before stalk finishes. I don't think this was intended at all!

So i would say either:
a) you still get the penalty if u exit stalk using item abilities that toggle

or

b) find another way to nerf mm

He isn't used too often in comp play right now anyways. Did he really need a nerf?

Another option instead of a slow after stalk, what about, decreasing Stalk speed gain from +50% ms, to +30% ms?

The distance u can travel with stalk will go down, but it's utility won't change too much. You can still use it to initiate or flee, and it will still be a viable method to harass or lh during lanes.
