Scurrilous rumors of unnatural parentage have haunted this proud, leonine warrior his entire life. He long served in the Beast Horde as a shadowy scout and assassin before taking on a comparable role in the new Legion. Wherever he came from, Night Hound is a welcome ally and a deadly foe.My best guess is that :dark: ulted while :jera: and :ophe: were having sex, and :jera: accidentally stuck his dick into one of Ophelia's charmed neutrals... thus Night Hound.

Night Hound is pretty much the worst hero in the game. He's a pubstar at best, but fails because invis heroes are terribad if someone gets an eye.

Nah, that's wrong. Night hound's an excellent farmer because he can farm a lane longer than almost any other hero with his invis and cloud. If the other team gets an eye, chances are they'll end up dying and losing the money. He's really a nice hero, but very situational.

Too bad he's such a weak carry comparatively. All the farming in the world won't fix that.
He's not the WORST hero, I suppose that was unfair to say. But he is pretty low on the totem pole. Night Hound is literally just a shittier version of Scout. At least Scout offers more than "hey look i can farm all game and genocide a team LOL and oh i have a silence too" in the form of map awareness (huge asset) and a way to pick off runners from behind towers.
They're both bad because in teamfights either dust, (cheap) wards of rev, (still cheap) or an eye (on heroes like Engineer, Accursed, Pharoah, Keeper of the Forest, and Kraken, good luck getting them to drop it) pretty much makes teamfights for their team 4v5.
They are just low end carries, which is why nobody plays them competitively.
They're just situational.

Wrong. Everyone says NH / Scout are countered by eye. But think. Even if the opposing side gets an eye, at the least, it makes NH / Scout into a "normal" hero. Into a hero that doesn't have stealth. The stealth isn't a requirement for them, just an advantage other heroes don't have. It's not like being able to see a late game scout is going to make him do any less DPS, just allows him to be stunned, like any other hero.

It does make a huge difference to them, as where most other heroes have a defensive/escape mechanism, Scout and Night Hound lose theirs with stealth detection. The only way to really save yourself from getting **** on in teamfights before you do much damage is to hope you don't get focused or do well enough in early game to get a mid game bkb. Not impossible, but it's still a huge weakness.
Yes, I learned how to play this game originally by playing EM. I don't play it on a regular basis anymore. Nice try though. :rolleyes:

The thing is, their invis is a skill, so if they buy an eye, it's a 3-skill hero (maybe not for scout because it gives 300 attack speed or so)
They're also spending 750 gold that they will lose when they die.
You could also say that, if the other team gets a barrier idol or BKBs, Pyromancer is useless. That doesn't mean he's a bad hero :p
