Passive
25% evasion
+30 dmg
+10 Attackspeed
15% chance to apply Fang! to self for 2 seconds (If you have any other critical hit chance, this chance doesn't apply)
Fang effects:
+1000 Attack Speed
Expires after one attack
Attacks made under the effects of Fang! can't proc Fang!
Active ability:
Cooldown: 10
Activates on auto attack
Attacks for +30 damage and applies Snakey to opponent for 5 seconds
When Snakey procs, the attack is followed by a green flare to show this.
Snakey effects:
15 magic dmg per second
Think of the proc like Jeraziah's Righteous strike.
This item is designed to make use of Snake Bracelet, as well add another different critical hit item. The difference here is that some things can proc twice (such as savage mace), but the chance on the crit in general is lower. And it is only a 2x crit. It's also cheaper than riftshards.
If you have any concerns about balance, please tell me, numbers can be changed.
The image is rather random, I'm not good at that stuff.
14th of January:
Cooldown of Snakey increased to 10 seconds (from 5).
DoT from Snakey changed to 15 for 5 seconds(same overall).
Extra damage from Snakey reduced to +30.

I'm not sure about the 'Fang effect', but the ingredients make for an excellent combination and the 'Snakey effect' is nice.

I'd say: take away Sneaky and leave fang. And make fang 20%.

I could see "Fang effect" doing the following:
When an attack is evaded, you counter-attack on the foe that missed you.
(So it would work like Swiftblades 2nd ability).

I think that may be a bit too strong because it would greatly outstand swift's ability.

Riftshards is already an underused dps item compared to shieldbraker for instance, because most heroes that would use it already have criticals and they don't stack (madman, swiftblade, puppet, scout)

I really don't feel like we need any more evasion items, let alone more items designed only for carry/DPS heroes. There are plenty of DPS options for every hero as is.

so, you think two evasion items is too much?
Wingbow is only for agi carries, sucks pretty much on anything else. But i guess there are tanks/str/int carries who would also like to have evasion with a good item...
And you don't like new items for carries? good attitude man

Sounds about like what I said. I'm looking at what the game currently needs. As it stands, there are a massive amount of options for carries while other roles often end up having the same 3-4 items they need every game. That's where more options are currently needed.
That said, this thread is about your item, not this topic. As such:
I feel as though your item is too complex. Both a proc effect and an active is a combination usually reserved for a second-level recipe item (ex: Charged Hammer). Also, your wording isn't very clear. The active ability talks about proccing in the description? Try clearing that up.

I think everybody knows what it means, because the "active" ability is not really active. It's like Jeraziah's righteous strike.
And you think my item is too complex? I think there are items which are way more complex (sacrifical stone for example).
Well I'll try to design a tank item soon because that is where I think are most items needed. Currently there's Behe's Heart and HotBL and that's about it. Maybe sacrifical stone or something. And the problem about these item's is, you tend to get ignored if you stack loads of hp.
Well that was off topic.
Back to item: It's hard to create simple items with just stats or something, because that is allready in the game. You have to create something special for people to like it, not a item that gives just good stats. And I don't really think that this should only be on second lvl recipes, after all the item price is what matters, and that's numbers, nothing more.

I understand/agree it's hard to create simple items, without making them too weak/boring. I do like the "double attack" effect of this item.
I understand the "active" a lot more now that you related it to Jeraziah's spell. A dot like that every 5 seconds could come off as a bit strong.

The active may be a bit strong, it's about 125 extra damage every 5 seconds, I will increase cd and balance the effect

basically just a chance for a double attack.
I would take off the snakey effect and just stabilize the Fang effect.
It's nice honestly...but it might be a little op on certain heroes. Would help a with bashing a bit to much I think. Also, this might make evasion a solid choice for far to many semi carries.
I like the idea overall...but I'm not sure a double strike could be balanced (remember, it was considered so powerful in dota that it was a orb effect.)

I like it. :). I don't understand why Snake Bracelet is used only in wingbow. Especially with the evasion counter from Savage Mace. I'm obviously not qualified to comment on the numbers involved with Fang or the active (are they connected?), but I like the concept.

I like it, it'd need tweaking, and make Fang! 20% with a 2s cooldown or something, but I like the Scout like speed attack chance.

I'm a bit iffy about this one. You should make it either just 'Fang' or just 'snakey'.
I like the idea of both as seperate tings... but for some reason I'm not liking the idea of both of them on the one item.
Try a few different concepts out for this one though, I was thinking changing the recipe to a 'Hungry spirit'(basic 900 gold lifesteal item) and make 'Snakebite' an auto combine.
Then you could change the effect of "Fang" to 100% lifesteal for 2 seconds instead of +1000 attack speed. See what I'm getting at?

Love it, though it does seem kinda of bland, and there are two extra abilities that just don't fit together. To me, it doesn't feel wel thought out. The active ability should be an ACTUAL active ability:
Active ability:
Cooldown: 10
Range: 900
Manacost: 30
Target Enemy - Instant
Deals 30 true damage, immobilizes the target for 0.5 seconds, and applies Snakey to opponent for 5 seconds
Snakey effects:
25 magic dmg per second
(I can see a snake fly out and bite the enemy, and then snap back into your hand :P) Something like that. Though it is your idea, so i dont care that much.

i think this is a great idea, jw though wat if instead of magic damage for snakey make it true damage :D as a counter to immunities or magic armor, since true affects all
