Malefice (Hellbourne Nuker/Disable)

Chased from the cities of the Legion for his desires for dominating Newerth, Malefice was branded a maleficar and banished from the Legion. Now, he uses his magic to further the ends of Hellbourne sowing fear and despair in his enemies. If he cannot subvert the lands of Newerth, then he shall seek to destroy them instead.

Visuals

Like above, however the staff design would be different, perhaps tipped with a black orb. When he levels the Shadow Shield skill an aura of shadow would surround him and would pulse when a spell was negated. The shield would grow larger/darker each time it was levelled. His projectile would be a thin beam of shadow fire from the other hand (not the staff). He would levitate off the ground. His ultimate would be a like a black meteor which on impact would momentarily create a black vortex around target (similar to icon). Dawn of Night would be a blot of blackness and Midnight's Mask would have him raise his fist before an animation similar to dark ladies Taint Soul (but larger and darkness) plays on target.

Malefice cloaks an area in darkness. Enemies who are caught in the darkness take damage are silenced temporarily and have the effect Malice placed on them.

Mana Cost: 120/140/160/180

Damage: 100/160/220/280 Magic Damage



Malice Effects:


Silenced For: 1.5/2/2.5/3 Seconds

Shadow Shield

The cloak of shadows that Malifice wears wards off both physical and magical assualts and can deflect a hostile spell. Malefice takes no negative effects from deflected spell.

Passive
Negates a Spell Every: 35/30/25/20 seconds *Does not negate Superior Magic, Orb Effects and Passives

Grants: +2/3/4/5 Armor and +2/3/4/5 Magic Armor






Crushing Despair

Malefice calls on the darkness of his soul inflicting an enemy with crushing despair. Target takes massive magic damage, is stunned for 0.1 seconds and is affected by Crushing Despair for a time.


Mana Cost: 250/450/650
Cast Range: 700 (perhaps down to 500 or 450?)
Cooldown: 160/120/80 seconds
Damage: 400/600/800 Magic Damage {Staff of the Master Effect 600/800/1000 Magic Damage}


Crushing Despair Effects:


Target loses control and has an equal chance of being: rooted to the spot for 1/1.5/2 Seconds, attacking its allies for 1/2/3 seconds, running around randomly for 1./1.5/2 seconds or giving into the despair and taking a bonus: 100/150/200 Magic Damage




*This is my first hero suggestion. I designed it as the Hellbourne/Scourges heavy nuker (Lion/Witchslayer) converted to legion. I designed Malefice to be a nuker/disabler with the capability to be used as a counter measure to enemy nukers (silence + reflect). I'm very open to any suggestions you may have about balance, abilities or really anything to do with him in general. Yes, the icons for the spells are small... I couldn't find any larger ones... Sorry about that... Oops... Just realised i misspelt Hero as Heroe in the poll... Please dont hold it against me, if a moderator see's this could you please correct the spelling of the poll? Thanks :D

I like it but it seems like you have taken other heroes abilities and put some of the best ones on 1 characters. He could be quite OP at this current stage.

For example: the first move, Mask deals the same dmg as TB's lightning shock AND give an effect similar to Dark Lady's ulti for an extra 45 mana at top level.

the second move is Defilers silence for 1/2 as long, but includes a 10% slow and has a shorter cooldown. Yours is quite more expensive however which could work.

the third move similar to Jez and Devourer as it adds armor and then you have the bonus of reflecting spells which is brutal. If someone deals 200 dmg to you (like TB with his lightning), it then deals it to him with you attacking as well... thats OP.

And his Ulti is Pyro's Ulti, but cheaper (slightly) and does slightly less dmg but adds another effect which again would be brutal to your opponent in team fights.

And in regards to his starting stats, they are fine... but when you level, your hero gets 1.6+2+3 = 6.6 where as someone similar like Pyro gets 1.5+1.5+3.2 = 6.2 Defiler also gets 6.2

hmmm thanks, i think i might readjust the stats and damage. Perhaps lower his Ult's damage again? I dont really want to lower it though... Perhaps tone down the shield just to do it like an nullstone... hmmm... thanks

I like the concept, but i think hes a little on the strong side atm.

His ultimate has some nice extra twists, but id increase the mana cost and/or decrease the range if u dont like towning down the numbers. Since he has an unlink vision spell and slow, getting closer to lets say 450 range, should prove not too dangerous when ganking and in teamfights ull have to make more effort for positioning. Since wreaking havoc on their carry from 800 range while hes slowed and cant see u, seems a bit over the top.
Plus he has an armor and magic armor bonus, which actually seem perfect to get more into the battle rather than far at the side (his spells have 800, 700, 800 range).

But none the less thumbs up, needs some finetuning but the hero concept is really nice, especially for non-all pick games which are unfo very rare.

thanks. I toggled damage down a bit and reduced durations of spells. The unlinking shared vision doesnt seem so bad to me on a single target because A: if they are already in a gank they will still probably be able to see their team (doesnt shrink vision radius) And B: For 2.5 seconds without a stun they would be able to know their teams general position. Realy, the unlinked vision is more to create panic than anything else. Also, his low strength gain makes him MEGA squishy which counters his armor gain. This balances out with his nuking but he will be heavily focused on in team fights. Perhaps i should give him a new ability to replace shadow shield. Shadow shroud. Passive, cloaks self at night time with 5/4/3/2 second fade time, revealed when enemies pass within 600/500/400/300 units. Hmmm... this would be interesting for gank timing etc. Views, but no comments... Your feed back is appreciated regardless in what form, criticism or otherwise.

There doesn't really need to be a detailed explanation. Look at the numbers. You've made him into an EXTREME burster, with terrific range. 700 range? That's not to mention the short CDs and the added effects of the ult. Lol.
