I'm looking for a hellbringer guide on what skills to add and most importantly what items to get.

Tips on how to use his skills effectively and when to use it would be great too :)

I am not experienced with writing guides and thus will not write a very large and long guide. this is personally what i go for, but it isn't necessarily the best build out there.

Skills

I don't remember the skill names so try to go with it :)

Level 1: Dot
Level 2: Hp Regen
Level 3: Dot
Level 4: Slow
Level 5: Dot
Level 6: Ultimate
Level 7: Dot 4
Level 8-10: Slow
Level 11: Ultimate
Level 12: Hp Regen
Level 13-15: Skill Bonus
Level 16: Ultimate
Level 17-18: Skill Bonus
Level 19-20: Hp Regen
Level 21-25: Skill Bonus

Dot: Harass with this as much as possible. ESPECIALLY on squishy heroes. It does a good amount of damage and should be on enemies whenever possible early game.
Slow: Don't worry too much about using this early game, it's mainly to slow and chase heroes as they flee from your dot with low hp.
Hp Regen: Use this on creeps for the most part when you are at low hp. If you use it correctly it should heal most of your hp.
Ultimate: Once your enemy is at mid to low hp, pop this on them after using the slow first. It can usually take them down and if you wont be able catch them, it is really useful for pushing towers.

Items

1. Bottle
2. Enhanced Marches
3. Regenration Stone
4. Icon of the Goddess
5. Whatever

Bottle: This is very useful for keeping your dot functional early game and helps you to not need to go back to the fountain.
Enhanced Marches: Cheapest boots and useful for chasing down a person at low health
Regenration Stone: This item is expensive and will take a while but if you get it early game you will own. You can use it to recast your ultimate and have two demons on the field at once.
Icon of the Goddess: This can be swapped with regen stone in the order depending on the game situation since you really need this to have enough mana to cast both ultiamtes at once
Whatever: Usually at this point, I will go for whatever would likely be useful such as a Codex so i can deal some quick damage to finish someone off or a Staff of the Master since you already have the first part and will get 30 more intel for 2700.

Not sure how much of a help this is and it likely could be improved but this is what i go for when playing hellbringer.

Edit: Wow, so much for not being long :3

Does anybody else have suggestions for a build?

Ultimate (with Shackles + Malphas you can easily chase someone down and kill them at this point. Open with the stun so Malphas can start wrecking them, then Shackles and just chase them down.)

Stats

As for items, I usually start with a Pretender's Crown plus a Scarab and a Mana Potion; healing items are pretty useless, just Life Void a creep wave as they start to clash and it's half of your HP right there. I build into two Fortified Bracers, Marchers, and then start assembling Greater Arcanas and Enhanced Marchers (typically the order is to finish a Greater Arcana, then build the Enhanced Marchers, then go back to building Greater Arcanas). Get three of them and you have a Hellflower, at which point you can really annihilate people with the 20% damage amp and silence.

I like cube's fairly well, but I max out life void before getting stats. (and sometimes I get life void at level one instead of 2)

For items, I start with sobi mask and 5 tokens... this is good for a long time of laning. Build marchers, part one of hellflower, a bracer. Then decide whether to finish hellflower, or switch over to totem, or something more defensive. After one of those is completed, I get defensive item(s)... usually +magic armour, and platemail -> frostfire/shiva, but I've been considering heart ... heart is usually too expensive though.
