Thats just my opinion, the range of its attack seems a bit to far.

It's 600, right? I thought DotA's PotM had 600 range too.

It did, and it is the same. However if your hero has a high projectile speed and fast attack speed you can almost orb walk your attacks to give the appearance of a much higher range. Which was quite possible to do in DOTA.

is it just me or does the range in HoN seem to be a tad bit longer than in DotA? im talking the overall range of everyone. 600 range in HoN feels more like 700 or so in dota measurements.

Someone mentioned that valkyrie's attack don't aggro creeps at all. Is this suppose to happen?

Valk is a little OP though. Yea Ill say it, and keep saying it until they buff the bad heros like blacksmith, and nerf some of the always pickers.

I actually got the same feeling! It seems like the range is a bit more than what is it in dota

Ok I posted this topoc and I know its now a little off topic... but bad heroes = blacksmith... WTF. Blacksmith is OP, his multicast is retarded, his base HP is so high, its really hard to kill late game, and it one shots lower HP heroes with its multicast. I think that the new version of ogre magi is retarded.
As Houdini said in the Pass through fissure thread. HoN is not yet ready for competitive play as it is very imbalanced, and needs a lot of balancing still. The gameplay itself is good, the animations are good, the netcode is great. But there is still lots of work to be done before, competitive dota players will take HoN seriously... IMO.

You have to remember that this is still the beta...Also HoN needs to add more heroes for competitive play to really take place, because otherwise the same heroes will be played = no fun.

The range seems bigger because the map is a tad smaller imo
POTM is worse now imo. Her Arrow's hitbox is ridiculously huge and it hits siege. Can't snipe people in a lane because it'll just hit creeps.

I have to agree with this because most ranged hereos HERE seem to have a what may seem 600 range on dota "1k" range here i just think these guys didnt take the time to convert it prob thinking it wouldnt even matter makes me wonder if s2 devs even played dota >.>

yeah she has the VERY first potm stats leap ETC the aoe on her arrow is ridiulous i agree thats y id rather not practice with her yet XD

Blacksmith's multicast needs to be changed to the 6.60 dota one as the current one is pretty messed up. I was one hit by a blacksmith yesterday -_-

It doesn't, they fixed it in the latest patch... Made it smaller and doesnt hit siege or immune.

I believe:
The units in game are scaled a bit smaller, so attacks seem to be longer.
I.E. Same exact map, units/buildings/heroes are scaled smaller.
Units/heroes seem to move faster because of that.

well they reduced the hitbox a little but I htink her range is just fine, I mean randomly throwing at sum1 with 100hp is funny to get a kill :P

You're comparing 2 games that have the same core gameplay but have completely different animations/graphics. Obviously 600 in DotA and in HoN will seem different ebcause they're 2 different games.
People QQing about balance, let them work and do their job. The game has been out for 2 weeks and you expect it to be the same thing as DotA who has been out for years?

600 range is enough to harass a hero in melee range of the creeps without getting agro. I did this just yesterday with puppet master.

Personally, I just think Valkyrie's stun lasts too long. In many situations, if it hits you, you're dead before the stun end.s
