After drinking the blood of a dragon, a Reaver is born. Blessed with the strength and the wisdom of the great beast, the Reaver becomes a blood thirty reminder to why dragons are feared in the first place.

Skill 1 - Devourer Spirit

Passive - Range 600

Surrounded by carnage, the Reaver feasts on the souls of the dead, turning their battle rage and anquish into strength which fuels him onward. Whether they be souls of a friend or foe, the Reaver does not care.


Whenever an organic enemy or allied unit dies within a 600 range, the Reaver consumes a portion of their spirit, healing himself for 1/2/3/4% of his max HP. Every time a unit dies, the Reaver's STR is increased by 2/3/4/5 for 5/10/15/20 seconds. Max of 25 STR at one time.

Visual: every time a unit dies, a piece of their soul is eaten by the Reaver. Will work similar to how Soul Stealer's visual looks except will "infuse" with his entire body but giving an intense glow for a second.

Skill 2 - Aura of Pain

The Power of the dragon's blood fills the Reaver with anguish and pain of the mighty creature which was slain. The Reaver can channel this hatred to the area around him, sharing the pain which exists in his body. However, this makes the Reaver also feel the pain more distinctly.

Toggle - Range 450

Deals 40/60/80/100 magical damage per second to all enemy units in a 450 radius around you and 20/30/40/50 true damage to yourself.


Visual: While active, a yellow aura will radiate from the Reaver, distorting the area somewhat.

Skill 3 - Frighting Appearance

So horrifying is the Reavers appearance, any enemy caught looking straight into is eyes will become paralyzed with fear.

Range 600

Fears target for 2/3/4/5 seconds. While feared, the target cannot move or perform any actions. The target must be facing the Reaver or nothing will happen. If the target is within 300 units, the target will be forced to face the Reaver.

Mana: 110/120/130/140
CD: 11

Visual: The Reaver will turn partially into a full dragon and roar at his opponent. If caught with the ability, the character will turn white and will remain motionless.

Ultimate- Blood Frenzy

Passive and Activated ability.

Raveling in the blood of his enemies, the Reaver ignores all his pain, turning into strength which he can use to hunt even more. The Reaver hunger is so intense, he can power onward, even if he should have already been dead.

Passive
The closer the Reaver is to death, the more powerful he becomes. At full health, he deals 0 additional damage. At 1% health, the Reaver deals 33/66/99% additional base damage and 10/20/30% more magical damage from Aura of Pain.

Visual: the Reaver will turn more and more red the closer he gets to death. Similar to Sacred Warriors Bezerker's visual.


Active - Unkillable

For the next 3/4/5 seconds, the Reaver cannot be killed. The Reaver still receives damage normally. Any damage which would normally kill the Reaver, will set his HP to 1% his max hp instead. This ability will not be cast automatically. Increases attack speed by 20% for the duration.

Mana: 50
Cool down: 60

Visual: The Reaver will cry out "one last time" and will make a different sound when attacking.

Another dragon age hero it looks like, the first two and ult seem to have pretty good synergy. The third ability is a little scary, basically a 3.5 stun, could be switched out or at least lowered imo. Not sure on the numbers on the rest.

Nah, I think it is actually pretty good synergy if you think about it.

Even though the 3rd ability does no damage (hence the elongated "stun"), you can basically keep aura of pain up while receiving heals, and as your HP starts to get low, you can fear your target for uninterrupted low HP damage. Might even get a kill off with all that bonus DPS or just get some HP back.

Ok. The concept is quite good but add some more detailed information: Primary stat of the hero, his speed and so on...

About the skills, the synergy is quite nice though many heroes have better :P I:mo the second and third skill fits the best to use them at once.
Actually I never played DA so don't really know what to think about it but from the first glance i can say that it's a quite nice concept but it could be better ;) Try to think more about over structure of the character

But please clarify what you mean by structure. Are you talking theme?

Basically, this hero is supposed to be a powerful tank which can absorb HP from enemies (originally had the 1st skill to act like blood hunter's HP gain passive but scrapped it as being too powerful) and gets more powerful as he gets closer to death. Additionally, he is scary and uses that fear to control his enemies. Additionally, he has the ability to damage all people around him as well, including himself.


Not sure what else to say. Maybe I should just remake skill 1 to feast on enemy kills in the area so it synergizes better with aura of pain.

I agree, they are similar, but that was not by design. It is unfortunate that Devourer's theme is similar to this one.

The STR was supposed to be similar to Dirge's castable spell, except in passive form.

The HP gain is nice, and actually has nothing to do with devourerer's flesh heap ability. Also, it does not give magic armor. And the STR gain is not permanent.



The Aura of Pain is supposed to be a concept similar to Rot in the sense that it is an AoE ability which can be turned on and off which deals damage to self while damaging others. It is supposed to be a relatively large AoE ability around self. It just so happens that Rot is also an ability which does this, but in a smaller aoe. Please note, that I do not want this ability to slow at all as it defeats the purpose of the concept. If anything, I believe I can play with the numbers and find a way to make it fit without making it too similar to Rot.

unfortunletley this hero and your other heroes share remarkable amounds of likness to thoughs of the heros from dragonage and have you asked bioware if you can you there images this could be considerd copyright so i sujest you get some new pics asap before hon realises this and bans your posts
