Ignorance's Multiselect Hotkeys
This mod gives you several new hotkeys.
1. Assign Control Groups
This hotkey allows for you to assign a large control group containing all of the units you are currently selecting, as well as several smaller ones up to nine units occupying your other control groups.
Example: I am playing ophelia. I have two minotaurs and use the puzzlebox. I press this key.
Ctrl group 1 - All five units.
Ctrl group 2 - Ophelia
Ctrl group 3 - Minotaur 1
Ctrl group 4 - Minotaur 2
Ctrl group 5 - Puzzlebox Minion 1
Ctrl group 6 - Puzzlebox Minion 2
It then resets to the original control group with the first unit (Ophelia) selected.
2. Ophelia Keys
These are named after Ophelia because they are undoubtedly the most useful for her, but they are very strong for all summons, including puzzlebox and dominated creeps. I assigned six of them, so you can access the first six non-hero units in your multiselect group this way. These will only work up to the tenth unit in the multiselect group, so there shouldn't be any issues with illusions.
The first key will search your multiselect group for the first non-hero unit. If it has an ability in the first slot, that ability will activate (i.e. the minotaur will stomp the group) and if that ability is targeted, it will let you selected a target. Once the ability is used, Ophelia will then be reselected.
The second key does the same with the second non-hero unit in your multiselect group, etc. etc.
Also, if you use the hotkey twice, it will activate twice, selecting only the unit you are interested in. This can be useful for units with cooldowns up or without abilities.
Example:
I have Warbeast, a minotaur and two dogs selected. I use hotkey 1 to activate the ability of the minotaur. The minotaur uses Body Slam as soon as I press that and Warbeast is reselected as soon as it the stomp's cooldown actovates.
Note: If you use this with a unit that has a targeted ability and then, instead of casting it, immediately switch to an identical unit, the mod will be unable to tell the difference and will reselect the hero if you cast the same targeted ability with the other unit.
3. Scoreboard Toggle Hotkeys
One key switches your scoreboard between closed and open. The other switches your scoreboard between max and min. Works with the original scoreboard as well as the specialized scoreboards of BardUI, Bigger Scoreboard and Hero Icons and Scoreboard Smallout.

Interesting idea. To picture it better, it eliminates the need to tab+q by instantly activating the ability and then switching back to the primary unit?

Yes, but in cases where you have several units to select, it requires more hotkeys.

OMG YES! thank you! This is awesome, this makes things so much easier, even though i didnt mind tabbing to switch to other creeps, this is so much better thanks! though i think this mod might be considered cheating, but ill leave this up to the mods and such
hmm one thing nice to add might be somewhere on the screen you can see the cooldowns/status of each selected creeps skills, theres been a few times where ive switched to a minataur to stun only to realise the stuns on c/d or out of mana
oh yeah, just one problem i found, if i press the hotkey twice, the first press does the skill, and the second press brings the focus back to the minataur but doesnt use the skill because its in cooldown, thus staying focused on the minataur

That is intended, since this can also be used to switch focus to a unit without an activated ability. Alternatively, I could have made it cycle through units until it finds one that can make a move, but that could be problematic. Although, I would like to make a hotkey that causes all of the minotaurs to go off at once or to cycle through them.
There isn't a UI currently, but I might add one later.

Sounds pretty cool, I always wanted to be able to hotkey abilities from your units to a separate hotkey, and this is the closest I've seen to being able to do that.

Updated to fix a minor issue with modmanager resetting the status to unapplied every time modmanager is loaded.
Shortened name along the same fix

There is neither any way to trigger the alt info to show this, nor any unique information for the creep to use. Also, it currently organizes them by date created, so I can't just tag a number on top of their head for when they were dominated and expect it to mean something. :(
with puzzlebox its working weird. until puzzle wizard is 2nd in selection it wont work. it tries to use passive manaburn from melee guy.

3. Assign keys
This uses modmanager. I'll convert it to an s2z in my next version, which I can't make any predictions about when that will be. However, it modifies game.interface, so use modmanager.

I just played with this for 20 minutes, could not figure out how to get it to work
I bound the controls and still found it all to be confusing as hell, especially the assign control groups.
Any chance you could explain this more?

Yeah this doesn't do anything, all the keys are assigned but nothing happens when i hit them with monsters elected or unselected.

For those who still doesn't know how to use this or haven't figured it out, here's what I know
1. Assign Control Groups
(Haven't tried this one, so I can't explain anything about it :D)

Example:
I assigned my Ophelia Keys 1-6 to Alt + 1-6.
I got Ophelia, and 3 Minotaurs for this example all selected
When you look at the bottom right of your screen, the order of units (from left to right) is Ophelia, Minotaur1, Minotaur2, Minotaur3.
So when i press Alt+1, no matter who's unit I'm focused on, It will switch focus to Minotaur1, then use his first skill, then switch focus on the first unit, which is Ophelia.
same with Alt+2, no matter who's unit I'm focused on, It will switch focus to Minotaur2, then use his first skill, then switch focus on the first unit, which is Ophelia.
Example 2: Ophelia not in the group
Order of unit (from left to right): Catman Champion, Minotaur, Skeleton King
When I press Alt+1, switch focus on Catman Champion, use his first skill, then switch to the first unit of the group, which is Catman Champion also.
When I press Alt+2, switch focus on Minotaur, use his first skill, then switch to the first unit of the group, which is Catman Champion
This can be used on other heroes as well, like Hellbringer or when using Whispering Helm to dominate some neuts w/ ability or when using Puzzlebox
Ophelia Keys eliminates the need of Tabbing for the unit then press Q to activate his/her first ability (Take Note: First Ability Only!). This is a big help in micro especially when controlling a large group of creeps/minions (w/ Whispering Helm & Puzzlebox). Thanks to Ignorance!
3. Scoreboard Toggle Hotkeys
(Haven't used this one either. Obviously, it's self explanatory)
For those who still doesn't know how to use this or haven't figured it out, here's what I know

(Haven't tried this one, so I can't explain anything about it :D)
Assign Control Groups automatically assigns whatever is in your control group to your the keys you described in step 2.

This is false. Those keys don't need to be assigned.
The first key works by assigning all your currently selected units to control group 1, your first selected unit to control group 2, your second to group 3, etc. all the way to your 9th unit in control group 10.

The issue with this MOD is that when you are chasing an enemy hero...and let say you have three minotaurs chasing and the very first one is kind of within range to stun...you can not see which hot key # he is in...therefore you can stun but it could be the very last minotaur in line which is not in range to stun. I have to do it manually. It would be cool if the number of the hot key would appear on the minotaur himself walking...that way you would not which hot key # to press!

Other than my previous reply...it is pretty easy to do it manually!
Actually...I'm getting used to memorizing visually the minotaur line up by whichever I converted first. Say I have 3 minotaurs...some times if you take a break every 2 mins and move your minotaurs by manually picking them to move individually from the key Ctrl 1...you can memorize and keep track of which is which that you have to tab to when chasing. Is weird but I love microing so...you just have to work with whatever S2 gives you. I'm getting really good at it!

Don't suppose you can add a few settings to toggle auto-attacks? I know there's a plug-in for Barters mod that does it, but I'd rather just have the 1 mod. :P

If I recall correctly, Multiselect comes bundled with scoreboard toggle :). So you don't need to have them both on, because multiselect provides you the toggle-scoreboard ability.

I wanted to use this to make Engineer's turret easy to toggle between firing at heroes only and firing at creeps too, but sadly said button the turret is button 2, while shutdown (for mana recharge) is button 1..

We have no way to distinguish between units other than their name, which is only accessible when hovering over them.
Heroes are a special case, since it's not like I'm going to be controlling several heroes with different cooldowns.
That said, meepo would break all UI mods dealing with the alt info for heroes.

Ignorance, don't know if you have time, but is there anyway to get this to work for Pollywog and Engineer so that when you drop Polly's ult or Engi's turret it automatically hotkeys them to something? Or, would it have to be I select both hero and the gadgets and use the multiselect hotkey to group them?

I had a suggestion and a question.
My suggestion was to remove the hero from the hotkey line up, 2, since f1 will always select your hero. I was wondering if 1 could be all units, and 2 be the first unit in multi select.
My question is, is there a way to remember that I added puzzle box to my assign group control? Re-adding things like geometers, puzzlebox, and wolves each time sucks :(
EDIT: I was able to enable this mod while HON was running, then close HON, then apply my mods, and restart HON. I wasn't prompted with v.2

load honmod manager while hon is running. then click on the mod you want to enable. close hon. then apply mods in honmod manager. restart hon.
if you restart honmod manager while hon is closed, itll disable the mod due to version.

This didn't work for me. If i try to apply while hon is open, i get an error message "cannon access blablabla because its being used by another process".

You can only set up hotkeys in game though or in the startup.cfg, it hasn't been updated at all for FE2

I love this addon for Ophelia, but I have a question. The key used to make control groups also seems to clear all of them first (logical). Is there some way I can make it NOT clear a specific keybind (control group 10 in my case). I always use 10 for the courier, and using this addon makes me constantly lose my courier control group.

doubt this mod will get any love any time soon :(
a suggestion for joys, ` is the default key to swap between "shoppers". so tabbing between is a lot easier than hitting 0 imo.
i wish this mod gave puzzle box a higher priority on the list, that mana burn has to be the best minion use ability.

Okay I have both the one on the first page and the one Bangers just posted and neither seem to do anything when I activate puzzle box and try to select the minions with my number keys.
What am I doing wrong?

You have to select the units manually then hit the assigned hotkey to have it autogroup them. Then you should be good to go.
