(US) Player LFT to go competitive with

Hi, my name is Nathan and I go by the alias Darkstrand. I was a member of the old FyC which was ranked somewhere in the top 1-10 clans according to the GR weekly tournaments, and was the first officially sponsored team for HoN (if you can call it that).

I'm currently LFT with some guys to play with, I particularly like scrimming frequently as I dislike pubbing (you will hear me bit*h 24/7 in a pub for numerous negligible reasons). I will not work with people who have huge egos and need to be the center of attention, or people who will disregard my opinions lightly. I consider myself to be easy getting along with, and liven up the mood on vent.

I'm quite versed in competitive play in HoN, I've been in comp DotA for a period, mostly in leagues which I was in nearly all of them for a time including; DXD, DXDI, IHL (darkfire_'s not ucross'), EDL and other numerous east open leagues, TIHL, NAIHL, CAL O/I, the first season of CEVO, and the short lived Gamebattles ladder. I didn't try to get invited to IHCS1/2, but I'm confident I could have.

The only drawback as far as I can see, is the fact that I'm much more fluent playing as a carry/semi-carry as opposed to being a support hero. It's not that I cannot play any other role, it's just that I'm much more experienced and comfortable ricing in a game. I have been said to "not know where to buy wards".

I'm keeping this open to see where this will take me, maybe I'll find some people like-minded who want to play some motherfuc**ng HoN with me.

C4 was going well when I first joined, and they're all really strong players. I just disagree with the path they're taking.

Dang that sucks, mine was baller. I was so hammered with champagne in one hand and a beer in the other, I played it off like a champ though and got a bunch of numbers. Though my new years day was pretty shitty :(

I'm interested. We're currently just pubstomping but we intend to start playing tournaments, scirms and leagues real soon if you wanna give it a try.

We currently have 6 players that I'd consider pretty active and that are around 1750 psr and that I'm pretty sure can compete at a decent level.

You could probably play semi-carry and carry every game if so you want, as I'm as tryhard support as can get (I feel terrible when the ward cooldown isn't running.)

We're also pretty friendly and don't rage at each others... Really the only problem is that we're as a whole not very experienced outside of pubstomps.

I appreciate your interest, but I don't think it'll work out very well if your team hasn't been getting any scrim experience. It's really a huge step, and I don't want to feel like a giant among you lol

I don't mean any disrespect, we all start somewhere. Get some more experience in clanwars and I wouldn't mind at all to tryout for your team.

Fair enough. We do have a guy that have alot of experience in highly competitive games (4-5 years of dota, occasionally played with 5 and pig ect), might have heard of him (bleunuit).

While he is better than us, we're capable of keeping up with him without much troubles, especially as my best role is the one of a dedicated support/babysitter, which imo isn't as skill dependent than a carry.

I remember darkstrand from dota leagues, I don't remember which, whichever one MasSamurai was in (as he said) and his friend MasSomethingelse. Good player and its good to know you're still around. But YOU KNOW the league im talking about, the one with all the bads like Regulus who I made a 5-minute long video of him missing NA impales...And there was that clan of bad pinoys, [Young]Ako and [Young]Three, god damn those kids were horrible. I guess I'm a little off topic huh. I never forget a name.

I wont even post my acct. name since I know nobody has a memory as good as mine anyways.

Yup, that was me haha. There were so many opening useast leagues at that time, and I was staff on atleast half of them which is probably why people still remember me.

Good to see people from those leagues playing HoN after all that.

I'm not worried about that, I've got a laundry list of reasons why that game didn't work out and I'm confident that it had nothing to do with how well I played.
