Hi-

I tried going over "Looking for player" forums, and teams are either full now or have disbanded, so going to just throw myself at the mercy of the beast. :pred:

I have played tda dota for about 2 years or so. I am in my last year of law school, and HoN is something I can devote all of my recreational time towards. I have 3 IDs in HoN, and maybe 500 games or so played; total. My PSR fluxuates between 1700 and 1600. Just playing pubs I can never seem to stay in the 1700s for too long before going on a losing streak. I have all of the bare essentials, mic/vent...etc. I am a EST player, and evenings would work well for me.

I am looking for a group of players to play HoN competitively that:

1) Play a lot - I play often; 7-nights a week.

2) Can help me become better - I meet so many players who don't know what went wrong and where. Whether the game was lost because they were out played, out farmed or just plain out picked from the beginning. They just rage. Knowing where the mistake was made is key to improvement imo.

3) Aren't immature - I can take a joke, but I am sort of past all of the childish penis jokes, so I would like to play with players who can take our game time seriously and focus on improvement rather than just go through it casually.

In closing, I am a good listener and very dedicated to whatever I commit. You don't have to tell me the same thing many times. I listen, I watch and I improve. Thanks for reading^^

Have to say I am a little dissapointed with the skill level of clans I was contacted by. I thought I was going to be amazed by their skill level, but without much exageration I didn't think they were any better than myself. Infact we got beat by pubs.

And one clan disbanded like a week after I joined; hope I didn't have anything to do with that.

A lot of clans are playing 1650+ games, but in my experience I had more challenging games with some foreign 1500+ players.

I play often (pubs) and haven't come into contact with any clans that have just straight out wiped the floor with my team. I am sure there are many out there, as I dont think I am HIGH skilled.

I guess I am just looking for a good group of players to play with, that I can learn from. I don't really care if I am in a clan or not. Just want to get a feel for competitive HoN play. :)

I wouldn't say we're competitive (yet) due to lack of ever having played DotA and having to learn on HoN. Most of us sit between 1600 and 1750. We are getting into scrims (though losing most) and playing pubs when we don't have 5 on (a lot of the time).

However, the biggest similarity between us and yourself seems to be mentality (improvement over blind repetitive play, ingenuity and high activity).

Contact myself or Kadonite ingame if you want to get in some games and see how things go.

The main thing we're looking for is a consistant five, as most of us agree that having five players play together all the time will allow better teamwork and synergy to exist (rather than fifteen of which five are active at any time).
