When you first started playing HoN, which item was the first you liked?

I remember when i started HoN, i loved Sustainer. I was at the belief it gave me everything i needed, health regen, mana regen, and
damage, and at an easy buildup. Got it on most, if not all, of my first matches.

used to go straight for bracers at the start of game every game, until i discovered minor totems.

Literally, I was convinced that getting the +10 stats items for whatever hero I was playing would be super awesome. And back in ooldish DotA that means building Sange and then Yasha, or Yasha and then Sange. It was awesome. I'd make 'em every game. And now that Frosburn is actually good, I'm totally going back to that! :D

Enhanced Marchers. The first game I played I just bought Punchdaggers; eventually I realized there were other shop categories besides Weapons and the first recipe I made was Enhanced Marchers (I thought the phase ability was awesome)

Wards when they had no cd... They were OP. Could have the whole map warded all the time if you were an item-independent hero with good farming skills like Nymph.
