I'm somteimes having problem with positioning as a team. Are there any basic pointers to keep in mind when trying to figure where to push (except for watching creepwaves), where to move when the field is inactive (as in you don't see any enemy heroes and the team is spread out) and when you should try to kong?
Generally, when pushing as a team, you want to keep towards the outside of the map, but spread out. The heroes you'd prefer the other team to focus should be in the most vulnerable positions, the heroes you don't want focused in the least vulnerable. How spread out you need to be really depends on the initiation the other team has. If they have a :pebb: the answer is not too much, but if they have a :temp: that changes a bit and you might want to have someone with a long range stun like :hell: way in back.
If there's nothing going on that you can see that probably means you need to get wards up. If they counterwarded, check Kongor and then set up your own wards/counterwards as a team. Kong after winning a teamfight, ganking an important enemy hero, or after pushing successfully while the other team heals/respawns. Some heroes kill him really efficiently (:pest:, :slit:, :hell:), so with heroes like this on your team you have more leeway.
Best way to get out of the 1400 mmr mess?
Play strong ganking heroes that can win the midgame easily. Win your lane and make sure your teammates win their lanes by ganking as much as needed. Good heroes for this are :wret: :glad: :pebb: :phar: and plenty more.
More importantly, be vocal if you know what to do in a situation. If you don't know, be vocal and ask.

I find myself getting matched with scrub teammates all the time. I usually win my middle lane and try and gank side lanes. Sometimes I'm very successful ganking side lanes and other times not so much. What I'm asking is what are the best heroes to mid and carry mid to late game?
My most successful mids are usually with :valk::pebb::dead::doct::wret:. What other heroes are good to mid and carry late game? I've never found success with corrupted disciple.

I seriously want to become a good player. No more LN clan, they just play like crap. Yes, I left LN as I could not stand the amount of idiocy that I saw in many players.

2. maybe you're not picking heroes that suit your playing style. you have an equal chance of getting a good team as you do a bad one.
3. your K/D (or rather the change in K/D from game to game) is a better indicator than MMR of whether you're improving or not.

It's restricted to normal players, only Super Beta Testers can use the client.

What is the most effective way to use Whispering Helm? Dominate a creep and sit in the jungle or lane with it?
Dominate a creep, place it near ancients/guardians. then share unit controle and make your team help you stack ancients, max of 3 stacks!
pull creeps bewteen 50-55 second so they are far away from spawn point.
VERY effective.. but make sure the other team doesnt find out, then they will take all the sweet gold asap or gank you while you try!

I could be wrong but I think the assist person gets 1/2 the amount the killer gets...and if there is more than 1 person assisting they divide the 1/2.

So what exactly counters him except early ganking?
make sure he has a poor early/mid game by ganking him. put a good offensive lane against him - stun/nuke heroes (mag + pyro being the classic example). such lane should be able to either kill him of shut his farm.
strategically speaking, don't let the game last long, try to get enemy raxes asap. whether you're able to do this will depend on your and enemy lineup (hero picks) and skill level of players, of course.
his ulti can be countered by Nullstone - Nullstone blocks his ulti on you (illusion won't spawn on you). theoretically speaking, if all your teammates would buy a Nullstone and Nullstone is not on cool-down, SW would have no ulti ;).
Void Talisman will counter the physical damage that he or his illusion will inflict, for a period of time. note though that if SW bought Mock of Brilliance, you would receive increased magical damage for the duration Void Talisman is active.
yep what he said but you need to finish early or have enough carry power to be able to outcarry him, and of course gank him a lot.. if you forget about him for 20 mins its over...

Early ganking is the most important. If he has a good laning phase and early game that enables him to get a quick HotBL he's very hard to take down. Choosing crowd control is important, as his dual escape mechanisms are among the best in the game.
In midgame, realize that most of his damage is coming from his Dissipate and ultimate. Stick together and make sure he can't pick anyone off for a free kill easily.
Late game a Barrier Idol or BKB really helps to negate his Dissipate, which deals magic damage. Nullstone, as another poster pointed out, is also a good pickup assuming some of SW's teammates also have important single-target abilities.
He's a strong pickup right now, your best bet is to hamper him early and don't hesitate to push.

What does it mean when someone asks you to counter ward?
Is there a way to open the shop through a keybind instead of having to click on it?
Why do people boot players who have low PSRs in pub games? For example, in one game this player with a 1450 rating was booted even though his assist/kill/death ratios, gpm, and xpm were better than everyone else's.
It is very important for carry heroes to last hit every creep they can. Yet, how is a melee carry hero like :scou: or :zeph: supposed to do this while laning against something like :slit: or :vood:?

1. It means planting blue wards where you think they put there yellow wards so you can see and destroy (counter) them.
2. Standard it's B.
3. Cause they think PSR means everything.
4. Melee heroes tend to have higher base damage than range heroes. The harass is a problem for everyone though, not much you can do about it. Try buying an iron buckler.

How can i report a player who's manipulating stats, playing 2 acounts, and doing some how 200/0 kd in a game. I can only report players who plays with me. I know 2 players is doing that... last week his kdr was 0.4 and now is 1.2.

If you want their tower or if the creeps are hitting at your tower. You want to have the creepwave back, but not too far back.

If you have complete lane dominance, pulling risks breaking that by leaving a 2v1 situation as someone goes to kill the creeps. You'll get a bit extra gold from the neutrals but you give the other team a chance to get some farm or even a kill too. Also, if you pull without stacking, you will push the lane shortly thereafter.
Generally you want to keep the lane to be as close to your team as possible without the tower being able to push it.

Ok, I've spent the last hour searching google and the HoN forums so sorry if this has been asked...
I have a pretty boss computer and HoN runs great...at 59 FPS. I want more. Are there high FPS configs or mods I can use to increase the max fps to something a bit higher.

Your video card might be capping HoN. It has something to do with V-Sync, I believe it needs to be turned off.

Use ^ and then the letter of whatever color you want.
^b = blue
^r = red
^y = yellow
etc.
Or you can use a 3 digit decimal number like ^933 where the first digit is the degree of Red, the second is the degree of Green, the third is the degree of Blue.
^RGB
^909 = purple, red+blue
^099 = teal, green+blue
etc.

If your allied empath is on top of your hero and uses the void talisman does it affect the host hero too? I can see how this would be bad if the host hero did not want this turned on (ie a lot of magic damaging enemies around).

I have a question about the life bars:
When you hit someone, you'll see the yellow portion of the life bar decrease, followed by a red portion trailing behind it. Does that red portion indicate anything; like the rate at which the red bar decreases shows you how long a certain effect is on that hero (ie. the next proc of a dot that hits every 1sec or so)?
Does that make sense?

It's the life bar, but then running 0.5s (1s?) behind, if that makes sense. Basically it shows how much damage that person took in the last 0.5s/1s.

Go into options, interface, and uncheck "Show Hero Health Bar Shadows"
It's a very annoying visual effect, to me, but it just indicates damage that was taken. The actual life is the leftmost part of the bar.

I have two specific questions.
First, there was a match where Keeper of the Forest and Nighthound were on the same team, but neither player was able to accomplish much because the enemy simply carried Dust/Ward of Revelation. Later, the enemy Accursed carried a Bound Eye. Simply put, these two heroes who depended on being invisible were completely countered. What should these heroes have done in this situation?
I remember a few days ago where I was playing Rampage and laning with Flint Beastwood against Devourer and Myrmidon. Devourer would constantly use Guttling Hook against me, pull me far away, and kill me. Normally I would just dodge this ability except Myrmidon would first stun me with Magic Carp, which cannot be dodged because it is a homing missile. So basically I was stunned by an unavoidable fish, pulled, and then killed about two or three times ... Beastwood was unable to do much except auto attack.
I switched to another lane in frustration, but then this just happened to the player who replaced me. What should we have done in this situation?

For your first question, I think your Keeper should have farmed a pkey as soon as possible and initiate that way. Unfortunately NH can't do too much about it specifically, what he can do is play more careful, make sure your team (Tree) has wards up so he can farm the forest safely, and only go out to gank when he's sure he won't get counter-ganked.
For the second: I haven't faced that combo yet, but it sounds really painful. You can still run away from the Magic Carp, so try to use that time to get creeps between you and Devourer. Also remember the Carp only stuns if it hits you while moving, so it's possible to pause for a split second to avoid the stun.

SW is on the same team as tb once in a while and late game you would use tb ulti first and then sw.
Is it possible to see killstreaks (like annihilation announcement) while being on F12 in replay? For video editing purposes. This (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2251907/reso...ToggleSpec.s2z) mod doesn't work with the current version :/

I've been away for about 5 months, havent played since before 2.0.
Has anything changed much, i know with a game like this its most likely subject to a lot of opinion but i know as i was leaving tri lanes were just coming into the game. Has much changed?

Any idea why when someone leaves and that team wants to remake because 4v5 isn't exactly fair, why does the other team have to be included in the vote for remake when they could easily just vote to not pass the remake and most likely win an easy match?
Yes I just got back from a game where this happened and I'm kind of angry and definitely would like this changed.
What's the future in the development of friend memos? I would love to see an in game area where you can type some info about friends you play with and see it later. Typically i tend to meet someone in a game and then play a couple of games with that person. A few weeks later wonder why in the world i added them. Is this something that's up for future development, or are there any apps that I'm unaware of that would do the same thing?
I looked through all the forums, got semi confused and resorted to this one, because I figured on the rest of them I would just get flamed.

The friends list is silly. I don't know why games insist on using outdated all-encompassing "buddy list" styles that AIM made obsolete 10 years ago. Steam does the same thing and it's terrible.
You should be able to categorize, describe, group, and interact with your friends easily, but I don't see any progress being made there in the near future.

From what I heard on the forums (I don't have taunt): yes it breaks invis, yes it breaks channeling, and it does reveal you for I think 0.5s if you Taunt from outside the LoS.
You should be able to categorize, describe, group, and interact with your friends easily, but I don't see any progress being made there in the near future.
Very sad, but I hope that it will change somedayy. Maybe then i can type info about that friendguy with amazing stats that fed 0.10 and then rage quit because his brother was online.

yes, but within 800 units of you, not the enemy you hit with Blast of Lightning. I guess you knew that, but just to make sure.

Someone should make a newbie mod that just automatically mutes everyone on both teams when you join a no-stats game. If you join a stats game, it should make you quit and tell you to join a no-stats game. When you hit 100 games, then it goes away.
The community is terrible because you rarely see the same people more than once, games last a while and thus a lot of time can be wasted purely because of one bad player, and there's no system in place to encourage good behavior.

Put it into your stash and then simply left click on it- This only works for some items, most of the ones that combine automatically such as frostburn :HackNSlash: and sustainer :Sustainer:

Not completely, you can't disassemble an Iron Shield, but I think you can disassemble anything else without a recipe.

You can click the little chat balloon icon next to their hero portrait to mute them.

Both teams can win if executed correctly. However, picks play a big part in this. A well set up trilane team will be picking 2 solos, 1 of which is semi expecting to be against 2 people. The other, their 2 that are against the trilane could be very un prepared and be continually ganked.
It comes down to picks, preparedness, and level of play. This will usually only happen as a pubstomp, in which case the trilane will almost always win. But whenever I've tried to get a pub to trilane, supports take farm, they don't gank, and the 2-1-2 wins.

Also, for ward vision range in general, when I place a ward on a higher point on the map, do I get that bonus vision range added to its sight. I don't know the exact range of a sight ward, but say its 1200 and the high ground is 100 units above ground - if I place that ward on the high ground, do I now get 1300 vision?

That's not exactly how reveal wards work. They have a small sight range and a huge reveal range. The sight range is the stuff they see by themselves, and within the reveal range you can see everything that is invisible. Adding a sight ward to this will not change anything, part of the area the sight ward sees will be revealed and some won't.
For the second question, the vision range will not increase if you place the ward on a higher spot, however it will be able to see over more cliffs itself. So that's not exactly like real life.

Ya, I understand that they have both sight and reveal properties. My buddy said though, that if i you put a sight ward near them, that it'd up the reveal wards reveal range. I didn't think so. Just wanted to make sure.
2. So like, If you had two hills, or higher ground areas within range of the ward, you'd have vision of both?

sorry, asking some thoughts of mine.
i recently dropped into a far low 1150ish MMR. i play single MM, normal mode, and picks every game mode (singledraft,banningdraft etc.)
my team always say that i play well, yeah maybe one or two minor mistakes, but why cant i bring my team into victory? even though i got farmed and everything went well for me, my team still got beaten into the throne. how can i moralize my team / what kind of things i can do to make my team win? i really dont care about kdr that much now, i already have much positive kdr, i need some MMR.

You need to be quite tanky to counter him since he hits faster when he gets low. Also, he stacks a lot of HP, so I'd say Predator (especially Pred) and Sand Wraith. Locking him down before he activates Shrunken and/or ult also helps.

I live in New Zealand so I wondered if the ping could be the cause. But logic told me that if the two other HON users in my house use the same LAN/ADSL connection successfully then it shouldn't be an issue.
I sometimes also wonder if it is my PSR level.
I am currently a little over 1000PSR on the matchmaking scoring system. If this is the reason why then I would feel disappointed....If a noob with noob PSR can't join a casual mode (noob mode) game on matchmaking then there is little hope for us celler dwellers. I can still play public games, but I hate how douchebags can rig games with a feeder accounts on the opposite team from themselves to gain easy PSR from the unbalanced game wins.

Hellflower is quite good against him. He won't be able to use his Ultimate, his Shrunken Head, or his Sword throw to get away. Without those he's quite weak.

Well, your looking very specifically, try adding more game modes or regions, or play normal mode(which is better anyways). More people play normal mode then casual mode.

To me it seems like a quick and easy way to farm his pkey faster, and it's probably the best skill at defending the base if it starts being overrun by enemy creep.
It's obviously not something that you should use during the laning phase as it pushes the lane toward the enemy tower, but why not skill it lategame when it's such a good and mana-free pushing tool?

Magmus is a mana dependent ganker. Stats give more survivability and mana. Volcanic Touch does let you farm better, but a well played Magmus is not farming, he's ganking. If you farm with Volcanic Touch pretty much all you're doing is pushing the lane and making it harder for your carries to farm. Magmus doesn't need anything more than Strider, Bottle, and Portal Key to be useful. If you end up getting SotM or Spellshards as a luxury item, great. But you don't need it to play Magmus well, so leave the farm to heroes that actually do need it. If you don't have your Portal Key by the time you've hit level 10 or 12 and might consider leveling touch, you're doing something wrong or getting so stomped that the game is over anyway.
There is this illusion common in low level players that pushing down creep waves fast and using spells on them is beneficial. The creeps spawn every 30 seconds, no matter how fast you kill them. It doesn't matter if you're pyro and use both of your spells on the creep wave or if you're If you kill them faster, it just makes it harder for you to get to the next wave in the same. So unless your team is gearing up to push a tower or exerting map control, all you're doing is costing your team gold by pushing the lane fast. Some carries can push lanes like this in midgame because they'll be going elsewhere after doing so, to another lane or to jungle. But for most heroes, this is a sure sign of a BAD player, you're wasting mana to do something that should be done manually.

First time a trilane was ever used in HoN was 4AR (RobinEA's team, if you were that old) with a roaming FA/andro/behe or something. People of Luzon(sp?) or PoL (soon to be NvD) also did an early trilane with pestilence iirc.
Look through old honcast archives, both were casted. It was like a secret strategy. Pretty sure 4AR was playing WHP. Not sure who PoL faced.
It was introduced as a roaming FA. But she stayed toplane a lot.

The damage is a static 225. AFAIK nothing will add to that.
Probably because you can't always hit them with Wave Form. But then I think Spellshards is one of the worst items you can get on him. If you ever get cash build him tanky.

A turtle team is a team which farms up and waits for the heroes in their team (which reach their true potential later in the game) to become useful.
This usually involves having several carries, and at least having more late game potential then the other team.
It also involves having several heroes which are good at protecting towers or your base, such as Behemoth. To push you need to put yourself in a position where heroes such as Behemoth can jump out and deal massive amounts of damage.
Turtle is the opposite of push. (Just think of the animal, a Turtle is a creature which isn't really offensive, it has a thick hard shell and will outlive (outlast) it's "opponents")

Press the skill button [Q/W/E/R], then hit S before the cast animation plays [For DS he swings his weapon up, then down]. You should be able to hear him laugh, but he won't use any mana [if I'm not mistaken]

It's the order of levelling skills. In your example, they mean "Get skill 1 [the skill bound to Q], then 3rd skill, then 2nd skill for the next 3 levels, before getting your ult etc etc etc.
All they've done is replace the skill names with a generic number.

There's a key to move the camera around any way you want to. Check options under commands and see which key it is. I've adjusted all of mine so it's probably different for us.

When I saw some mates in trouble, I use to port to tower and help with a 2v3. Most of the time it works because they're very very far from their tower. They did it once, not twice.
If YOU are in trouble, juke the ennemies creeps around your tower. Try to take as less damage as possible and let tower kill creep. Ask for help and harass legi with the range guys (assuming you have a melee and a range guy). Dementend will probably lose a lot of mana to heal legi. Don't let them use health/mana pot and when you see demented low mana, try to kill him.

Just enter another command after your first one has executed but before the animation is done. For example, if you're pyro and trying to kill someone, cast his stun and moment it goes off be clicking forward to close the distance with your opponent, and wave them for more damage. Try it in practice mode, both with shift queing and with the way I described it. You'll get the hang of it soon enough.
Does Torturers ultimate pulse damage more often with spellshards? Therefore increasing damage not only via spell armor reduction but also with more pulses/second.

No it doesn't. It does reduce the 0.75 second cooldown which stops you from toggling it on and off rapidly.

I think there's an option to invert Y-axis in the controls section. Is that what you're looking for?

I like using Demented Shaman against him, but you need to be quite cautious about your playstyle using DS against Pred. Simply because DS's healbomb goes through any form of magic immunity.
However, there's always Rampage [all his spells deal physical damage] and Defiler with Void Talisman.

I've heard that Thunderbringer with FWS infects all enemy heroes with FWS slow when ulting. Does this mean that normal spells for other heroes also do the same, or is it an exception? For example, will Defiler's wave which is AOE, non-target do the same? How about status effects like Pesti or TDL ult? I've heard that Thunderbringer with FWS infects all enemy heroes with FWS slow when ulting. Does this mean that normal spells for other heroes also do the same, or is it an exception? First you need to know that the FWS debuff is applied to enemy heroes when:
Your hero attacks an enemy
Your hero casts a single target spell on an enemy
So, to answer your questions:
No, Defiler's wave will not apply the FWS debuff.
Yes, Pesti's ult will. Not sure about TDL ult, it depends on how it's coded.
Pyro ult will, same thing applies for MQ's Moon Beam.
I believe Hammer's stun will apply on your target only, and not other units caught in the AoE. So if you target a Pyro, and the creep next to him gets stunned too, I think only the Pyro will get the FWS debuff.
No, this only applies to the FWS attack modifier.

You can't bind specific items to a key. However, you can bind a specific item slot to a key, and then you always put the item you want to use in that slot. You can adjust keybinds in the Controls tab.
Example: You bind Item Slot 3 to T. Then you put your PK into that item slot. Voila, now you can hit T to use PK. This works for every item you put into Item Slot 3.

Yes. But it is increased by a %, the more difference from 0 armor, the less effect every 1 armor will have.(sounds weird, so here an example)
For example:
(not based on real numbers)
Someone with 10 armor gets 50% reduction
Someone with 15 armor gets 70% reduction
Someone with 20 armor gets 90% reduction
As you see, the first 10 armor does 50% reduction, while the 10-20(second 10 armor) only will do 40% reduction, meaning it will get less efficient for the last 10 armor.
(again, just an example, i made all the numbers up, just explaining.)
Same goes for -armor

Note to the armour: having -10 armour does NOT have the opposite effect of +10 armour, since the formulas for positive and negative armour are not the same. +10 armour makes you take 62% damage, -10 armour makes you take 146% damage. Also, the caps are 0% damage (100% reduction) for positive armour and 200% damage (-100% reduction) for negative armour. For the exact formulas see the FAQ in Mechanics.

This isn't true, going from 5 - 10 armour has the same overall effective health boost as 50 - 55.
For example,
if someone with 10 around has 50% resistance going from 10 - 20 gives you 75%, now going from 0 - 50% is halving the damage you take. Going from 50% - 75% is halving it once again.

Although the damage reduction %age has diminishing returns the higher your armor gets, every extra point in armor gives still you 6% more effective hp. So, stacking armor doesn't diminish in effect as you get more of it.

after absorption, the damage that actually gets done to your hero is what gets returned.

Does Shrunken Head affect any of Dark Woods abilities?
Deadwoods first skill doesn't effect magic immune targets at all, second skill won't stun or slow but still damages. His ultimate is entirely physical and will damage and stun through magic immunity.

Hi all,
I have 2 questions regarding puppet master (one is really about shroud)
1) If you puppet show an enemy and he starts attacking an enemy creep and then another enemy hero moves into the radius will the puppet show'd enemy now attack the other enemy hero or continue attack the enemy creep he started with
2) when using shroud can you ulti the enemy hero and then attack the puppet and get the bonus damage from the shroud? ...or is the bonus damage eliminated when you cast your ultimate (in which case it might be better to attack the hero first out of shroud and then ult and/or puppet show).

Many have been telling me that witch is a support but i completely disagree.
Last time i played him i went hardcarry since our actual carry which was madman failed in his farm.
So this was my build, Stun - Mana drain+ ulti. Thats my main spells and my item build was:
Bottle -> Striders -> Assassins shroud -> Harkons -> SotM -> Savage Mace/Mock/Charged hammmer/kuldras = Depending on which heroes i fought.
So, Try it and tell me what you think. I Won't take "F** Noob u sck,blablablabla he is a suppport or w/e.
Be creative and give me some serious feedback, No trolls allowed.

He's not a carry.
Sure he can do a lot of damage if not taking the pure support role but you can say that about any hero.
You could put those items on :ophe: and she'd be able to 'carry'. Hell if you put those items on :pupp: he would scale so much better than Witch slayer.
Witch Slayer is a support/ganker/initiator. Your job is to aid your team and allow the real carries to get kills.
I disagree with you saying that he is a carry but I will agree that he is very strong.

He attacks 46-50 in level 1, whereas his bear attacks 28-38. And Wildsoul attacks 0.714 times per second, whilst the bear attacks 0.571 times per second. So why do people use hatchet on bear?

I'm not 100% on this but i get hatchet on his bear rather than him because if i remember correctly, Hatchet on his bear gives extra 30% damage where as ranged is 12% extra damage.
If someone could correct to EXACTS would be good, think im close though.
So in the long run your bear benefits from it more than what you would =)

Frostburn should stack with Sheepstick on Bomb, since Frostburn is an attack modifier but Sheepstick isn't.
However I would suggest getting Spellshards on a fat Bombardier, since it synergises with all of his skills.

At the start of the game you want to buy basic stat and regeneration items. This will let you stay in your lane for longer and not have to go back and heal frequently. If you are a ranged hero who will be going to a sidelane, you most likely are expected to buy either a courier or two wards. This will help you immensely.
As for specific item buys, it completely depends on what hero you're playing. The guides system can be helpful here, as can Prodex (http://www.nigmanoname.com/prodex.html).

There is a 2.5/2/1.5 second fade time on Valkyrie's Prism, so you can still attack them while the affected heroes gain invis.

If you want more early damage for killing neutrals, get a couple of duck boots. They only cost slightly more gold, add AS/Armor as well as damage, can be built into other items, and work against heroes for ganking.

This is untrue, he can benefit from a hatchet because not only does it increase his bear's damage tremendously (it attacks faster than him and thus gains much more DPS from its use) but it also allows camps to be pulled, stacked, and maneuvered between more easily due to its tree cutting ability.

I have been looking into all of the new maps like tower defence custom maps. And it says to put the map into the HoN folder under maps. I have done that and it shows up in HoN, but when I go to host it, it just stays there and doesnt host, is there something im missing?

Try not to go alone. Usually at that point in the game the other team has map control with wards. You need to go with a couple buddies to counter ward your jungle and other places you suspect wards to be. Also you need to determine the best thing to do. If your team has the late game, turtle and farm the forest safely. If not, then maybe convince your team to push. Often times a couple of won team fights can shoot you up a couple levels.

Try not to go alone. Usually at that point in the game the other team has map control with wards. You need to go with a couple buddies to counter ward your jungle and other places you suspect wards to be. Also you need to determine the best thing to do. I find that if I go with anyone else on my team, they end up taking a lot of the creep kills and sapping my XP, and when a team fight happens, I feel like I'm just as likely to be killed there than if i was alone.

Tell them to stay close but out of XP-range. That way they can still save you in case of a gank (or at least counter-gank) but there is no way for them to leech XP or take creep kills.

If you buy two orbs which one takes effect.
I.e. if you bought an orb early in the game and wanted life steal later on, would it be an option?

Above your minimap there will be pictures of each orb you have. You can click between them to change on the fly, or use hotkeys ( , and . by default, I believe).

Holy **** that is awesome. So you can get lifesteal and frostburn.
use lifesteal all the time, then if youre chasing/need to slow someone switch them over. Awesome!!

Does Vindi's "Glyph of Silence" Stop Arma's Ult when he quil sprays or snots?
Armadons ultimate is a passive which means it's completely unaffected from silences (only two passive are affected by silence because they are specifically coded to disable when silenced), well apart from being unable to cast spells to trigger it.
In answer to your question, his ultimate will work normally when casting spells in range of Vindicators Glyph of Silence
