Puppet master can as well lane as solo mid, this guy is based on soloing mid to ensure max farming to become a carry.
Alright, let's look at the build order skill wise first:
1- Whip or String (if you go to the rune with 2 friends and can catch someone off guard, pick string for the disable. If not, whip to last hit better)
2- Puppet show or whip (depending on what you picked first. If you went for string, take whip, if you went whip, take puppet show
3- Whip
4- String or Show (the 1 you're missing from earlier on)
5- Whip (max you damage / last hitting ability...)
6- Voodoo
7- Whip
8- Puppet show
9- Puppet show
10- Puppet show
11- Voodoo
12- String... (you finish string then ult + stats)
Items:
1- If you have insanely easy farming because you're facing an easy to out last hit hero mid or got first blood or what ever, you can go Whispering helm to start creep stacking neutrals, other wise, tread of str if the best option.
2- The other 1, if you got tread, get Whipering or vice versa.
3- Shield breaker (this is your damage item...)
4- Finish whispering into Symbol of rage
5- Assassin shroud (the initial damage of a stealthed puppet with whiplash crit is just to the roof...) (alternate route would be Totem of Kuldra)
6- The other 1 from 5...
Rest is gravy... game should be over by now.
Alternate route:
1- Treads
2- Assassin shroud
3- Shield breaker
4- Symbol of rage
5- Totem of Kuldra
This build leaves you more squishy but allow for more burst / an escape mechanism early on... avoid this build if pestilence is against you for sure...
I did not put shrunken head in any of the builds... Shrunken head is a must in a lot of occasions where you need to survive lots of magic spells. Keep this item in mind to include anywhere on these builds...
Other decent items are:Geometer's bane, Riftshard, Hellflower, and even Savage Mace. To me, only Geometer's bane should be integrated in the above build to replace any of the items. The other 3 are definitely lesser items for Puppet.
*Note, with the new fenris fang, am I still unsure as if there could be any utility for it on a hero that already has 2 amazing disables... time will tell.
