Couriers. how to automate?

Is there a way to tell a courier to fly to me give me an item and fly back and then forget about it while it does that ?

I don't believe so, try holding shift while giving commands (shift+drop the item on you, shift+click back at the store).

I didn't think you could buffer item giving commands. When I played WC3 (not DotA) I thought this was the case.

I figured he could give it a try in HoN since this would be something they could easily 'fix' if it was still broken.

You could definitely cue up the command in DotA using shift+command. I did it all the time. Just tell your courier to drop the item on your hero while holding shift. Then, while still holding shift, tell your courier to go back to fountain. Then you release shift. Now the courier will give your hero the item then immediately turn around and go back to base. I ws able to do this with multiple items in DotA as well. So you should be able to cue up multiple items using shift as well. Its cool too cause the items instantly all appear in your inventory at the same time :-)

This works, you can shift drop stuff on your guy then shift click the fountain
