The old Death Prophet, with her awesome +ms that made her an incredible chasing hero. Now with a new, improved attack animation and projectile to make csing so much easier, faster cast and longer range and movement speed on her shockwave (at least it seems like it).

I used to love this hero so much, and now I find she's back, along with the old Bloodstone. I have only played her once and I went 17-0 because...well, I've played Death Prophet a ton before and she's basically back to her old self.

However.......she was nerfed for a reason in Dota, so was bloodstone. I'm conflicted. I want to say "yeah needs a bit of a nerf" but at the same time I'm going "but I luv the +MS...."

I think she will probably see a nerf - my guess is to her ult - before the game goes Gold.

The signature difference between HoN Defiler and DotA DP is that Death Prophet's ultimate is not controllable and not targetable, making it of limited use against specific targets though it still does quite a lot of damage over an area. Defiler's ult does similar damage per spirit but can be concentrated onto one target, which I think makes it generally far superior. Given her already strong harassing abilities and nuking, this is probably overkill.

LOLWUT!?

I wasn't aware of this! This somewhat imbalanced considering her skill set or how situational the DP's exorcism(from DotA) is. But to be honest I haven't exactly seen Defiler going around and eating everyone(yet).

We might need an nerf on either the auto-attack or the speed of both her ghost´s and nuke (range/ width of nuke)

Krob could do this too, I swear.

Krob could in fact do it.

she can X___x all she needs is the ms nerf and the bloodstone indirect nerf. even then i still think she is extremely powerful, one of the top bans/picks imo (depends on line up that you want of course)

Confirmed; Krob's spirits attacks whatever she is attacking.

Am I the only person who feels that Pyromancer's new dragon wave and Defiler's new carrion swarm encompass a much larger AoE and cast range than they did in DotA?

Yes, you are. Both skills have a pretty fat AoE in DotA.

The carrion swarm has a pretty misleading range as well. When I first used this hero, I cast it to hit a fleeing hero who was already out of range of any of my attacks. To my surprise (and his), it hit him and killed him. He said that the animation didn't even come close to reaching him.

Maybe but i feel her casting time is zero :(

Let's not forget a terribly coded ultimate that makes it completely useless. And, that it's reduced by stout/vanguards!

Krob's ult's spirits are marked Locust, as such they are unreduced by damage block effects.

The only thing that reduces them is armor.

Congratulations, you've managed to state something everyone knew. In HoN, they are reduced by block effects.
