Anyone think this is a little over the top? Not the skill itself but the fact that while spinning the hero appears to move as far as normal run speed. One of the ways dota kept this in check for not being too overpowered was the control you had over your character was slow. So people could eventually get out of the way. Here it seems unless you have blink you're screwed. It says alot when a character if available is in close to 100% of the games and I think this is the reason why. Omnislash while nice sure isn't heh.

Why do you let Swiftblade get on top of you so he can spin? A little bit of anticipation goes a long way in this game we call HoN.

Doesn't really seem a whole lot different than DotA (feels like it has a bit more range though)

Rofl if anything it needs a buff, WTF it doesn't remove debuffs like in dota? Oh btw remake of his ward was badly done, his counterattack is useless.

Wait till you go up against someone who has a nullfire blade and advanced marchers if you think spin is bad that'll have you screaming for mercy.

Swiftblade is definitely a late-game carry Hero. Your best bet is to suppress him early and mid-game to prevent him from getting mass gold to get the NFBlade and Adv Marchers in the first place. As someone said, the skill doesn't remove debuffs; somebody DoT him.

Whirlwind is fine if u ask me, 30 second cooldown gives it that real balanced feel for what you get from it, that said its practically a garunteed first-blood/bloodlust when combined with any decent cc from lvl 1.

iono spin by no means is imba, in DotA his ms used to be below average i think just a by a bit, that and his search range for omnislash was incredibly huge, buffed both to what it is in HoN (i think) hasn't been a change since, quite balanced imo

Sometimes it can't be helped. Just because you say anticipation should trump an overpowered skill doesn't make it true unless you just happen to love playing swiftblade with that ability.

Again dota keep is movement speed very slow for a reason.

Nope, he's a ganking semicarry. And there are heroes that do this better. He's not that strong. As you say, ganking him early and mid shut him down

Combine him with electrician and see how bad his whirlwind is. It is simply bloodlust right away.

You don't need electrician, any stun or slow will do.

I'm going to close this thread in favor of consolidating discussion into the preexisting Swiftblade thread. I'd merge it instead, but there really isn't much here that hasn't been discussed in the other.
