I think the overall appearance would be similar but more traditional (black not pink as an example).

A staff is not allowed! Maybe a gun or a throwing knife. Not cards either, we all know the fail that it is, just look at Gambit from X-Men.

Story

Many people would have you believe them to be magical. I think that they are mistaken. For I, Mahou Shinsei, am the greatest of all magicians in Newerth. True magic is taking a Behemoth and making him disappear into nothing. True magic is creating not one illusion, but eight illusions of yourself. True magic is sticking a person in a box and blasting it, only to have them come out just fine. True magic... is writing your own hero biography. I, Mahou Shinsei, will show you true magic belongs on the battlefield and on stage.

I wrote this more as Mahou talking specifically to avoid the use of a background. This is meant to give less of a documentary type biography but instead give more personality to the hero.

Q: Disappearing Act
Mahou is able to work his "miracles" on any of his allies.

Mana Cost: 160/140/120/100
CD: 30/25/20/15
Range: 700
Single Target Ally Hero
Cast Time: .25

[1] Create an After Image of target unit. The target unit is invisible for 4 seconds and has unitwalking during that time, anything besides movement will break invisibility.

[2] Create an After Image of target unit. The target unit is invisible for 6 seconds and has unitwalking during that time, anything besides movement will break invisibility.

[3] Create an After Image of target unit. The target unit is invisible for 8 seconds and has unitwalking during that time, anything besides movement will break invisibility.

[4] Create an After Image of target unit. The target unit is invisible for 10 seconds and has unitwalking during that time, anything besides movement will break invisibility.

After Image
Illusion of a unit. Cannot be controlled, performs what the original unit was doing before the image was created. After images last for 5 seconds, have 200 HP and does 30% less damage.

W: Escape Artist
A magician is the master of escaping. Whether it is escaping from a casket buried underground or out of a stun he is the master of it.

Passive

[1] Increase movement speed by 2.5% and debuffs as well as stuns last 5% less.

[2] Increase movement speed by 5% and debuffs as well as stuns last 10% less.

[3] Increase movement speed by 7.5% and debuffs as well as stuns last 15% less.

[4] Increase movement speed by 10% and debuffs as well as stuns last 20% less.

E: Mirror Trick
In order to gain the advantage of his enemies as well as confuse them, Mahou creates an illusion of himself.

Manacost: 120
CD: 7
Max: 8 images
Can auto-cast!

[1] Mahou creates 1 illusion of himself, and all (de)buffs are removed.

[2] Mahou creates 2 illusions of himself, and all (de)buffs are removed.

[3] Mahou creates 3 illusions of himself, and all (de)buffs are removed.

[4] Mahou creates 4 illusions of himself, and all (de)buffs are removed.

Mahou Shinsei Image
Images of Mahou Shinsei have HP equal to Mahou's INT. An image will deal 30% of Mahou's base damage, attack modifiers do not trigger. Illusions last 14 seconds.

Mahou is a master at Origami. Any unit can be put inside the magical box, but the effects differ depending on who they are.

[1] Allies are placed in the box instantly. During the next 2 seconds they are immune to all incoming damage. While in the box they cannot do anything.

[2] Allies are placed in the box instantly. During the next 3 seconds they are immune to all incoming damage. While in the box they cannot do anything.

[3] Allies are placed in the box instantly. During the next 4 seconds they are immune to all incoming damage. While in the box they cannot do anything.

Enemy:
[1] Enemies placed in the box are placed in there for 2 seconds. During this time the units magic armor is decreased by 2 every second in the box and for 4 seconds after.

[2] Enemies placed in the box are placed in there for 3 seconds. During this time the units magic armor is decreased by 2 every second in the box and for 4 seconds after.

[3] Enemies placed in the box are placed in there for 4 seconds. During this time the units magic armor is decreased by 2 every second in the box and for 4 seconds after.

Role


Pretty much I plan for Mahou to play like a ganker or a support. Most likely you will do support like things or single out one enemy to target on. The only actual support skill is to turn one invisible (can be countered easily) and to make them take no damage (superior magic so no counter). Ganking will pretty much revolve around you creating images and auto attacking. If you can ULT you'd do so but pretty much Mahou is a straight auto attacking semi-carry.

I like this guy, especially his passive. He seems like he would be a very fun hero to play.

One thing I don't get. He's a master of origami, so he can summon a magical box? That doesnt make sense to me o.O

The trick where you put someone in a box, then take swords and "stab" them is called Origami according to wiki.

i think u should do something more aggressive on his ult...since he already has a good saving skill(1st)
something like aoe ion shell..

Surrounds a target with energized spellwork, creating a shield that causes damage per second to enemy units who come in contact with it. Lasts 15 seconds.
Level 1 - 30 damage per second.
Level 2 - 45 damage per second.
Level 3 - 60 damage per second.
Level 4 - 75 damage per second.
• Damage type: magical
• Doesn't damage the target it is cast on.
• Damage is dealt in smaller amounts every 0.1 second.
• If cast on an unit that already has Ion Shell on it, the new Ion Shell will replace the old one
• Casting range: 600
• Area of Effect: 250
Mana Cost: 70/90/110/130
Cooldown: 7

buffin ur images and stuff...
since u got increased ms and u can invis, with his 1st and 2nd skill it would be great to chase.

EDIT: Wow I just thought of something, actually you're right that something like Ion Shell would work fairly well.
