SwiftBlade
for version 1.61
Swiftblade is a very strong hero early game, and a semi-carry to boot. He does lack any disable/slowing mechanism though, so requires team mates to back him up. If you'd rather play a hero who goes around ganking and doesn't need to farm creeps 24/7 to carry(BORING), this may be a hero for you.
Background Story
The unique armor worn by this mysterious warrior is said to have been uncovered in the ruins of an Ancient city. Whether the armor imbues the famed speed and pinpoint accuracy possessed by the warrior called Swiftblade, or whether he would be equally mighty without it, none can say.

19-25. Stats
Blade Frenzy and Swift Slashes are maxed as soon as possible since they are most effective early game where they will take out more of the enemy heroe's hit points, and net you kills.
Stats are taken at level 2 and 4 to provide Swiftblade with a little extra hp and mana. He has mediocre Str growth so the hp will help. His Int growh is terrible, so the the mana will help him be able to get off Blade Frenzy + Swift Slashes more often. This will be further bolstered by stat items(Wraith Bands or Fortified Bracelets). If however you are having a bad early game(possibly also grabbing an iron shield becuase of this which takes up an item slot), I suggest you can an additonal level of stats at level 8. If so you'll then follow the second skill whenever an alternative is offered in the skill build.
Way of the Sword increased his DPS output, for hurting enemies heroes( and killing neutrals if appropriate). It's taken after Blade Frenzy/Stats becuase they're more usefal early. Your not going to be attacking fast enough or for long enough a period of time in the early laning phase(since you'll be last hitting creeps or using blade frenzy to do the major damage to heroes) for it to be worth it.
Counter Attack is taken later still, because it's even less useful early game. It doesn't work on creeps, so it's no good for farming. And earlier in the game enemies will be running from you when you spin, so they won't be attacking you. Mid-late game in teamfights is when it's useful, as you will be attacked more.
Starting Items
1x Runes of the Blight, 1x Healing Potion, 1x Mana Potion, 1x Logger's Hatchet, 2x Minor Totem.
For when you have a ranged laned partner with a disable. A Logger's Hatchet is bought because he has low base damage. Health Pot and Runes are a no brainer for regen, Mana Pot because of the high cost of his moves for his starting mana pool. Totems are stats boosters, can can be turned into a Power Supply if appropriate.
OR
1x Runes of the Blight, 1x Healing Potion, 1x Mana Potion, 1x Iron Buckler, 2x Minor Totem.
Alternative build if you expect a rough start due to being in a dual melee lane(or having a bad ranged lane partner) or you expect a lot of harrassment from ranged heroes. Turn the Buckler into a iron Shield at the Outpost. This will boost his damage enough for last hits, so you won't need a Loggers Hatchet.
Core Items
Enhanced Marchers
Power Supply/Bottle
Wraith Bands/Fortified Bracelets
Frostburn
Runed Axe
Luxury items
Geometers Bane(situational)
Frostwolf Skull(If you've gotten geometers, you'll have a spare frostbrand)
Demonic Breastplate/Wingbow
Savage Mace/Shield Breaker.
