Effective Creep Kills

What do you guys consider good farming?


I usually say 3 Creep Kills per minute is decent. 4-5 is real good.
At minute 30, 90-150 creep kills which is about 3600~6000 if each creep gave you 40g (which they don't it varies.).

That is excluding the gold you get per second, and towers and hero gold.

A lot of people don't think about if they are last hitting enough, so wanted to get a topic going so people knew how many they should be up to.

I'd say most experienced players average around 3x per minute. 4x or more per minute is probably a bit too much farming

It really depends what kind of lane you're in, what hero you are, and what the lineup is TBH.

I tend to get ~70-90 CS by 20 min in, then get another 20 CS by the game end =P That's also because I tend to go CS-centric skill builds (ie, LVL1 fireblast + stats) and rush powerful items.

yeah I usually start up high, then get almost nothing near the end like you said nome.

For instance, I like to play Predator and a ranged enemy comes in my lane.. It's almost impossible for me to get some creep kills when he can just hit me from a distance. - Would it be best to fall back to the tower and work it from there or just ditch that lane and assist in another? (or call for assistance)

just check out people's stats from lobby and see their average CS and denies per average game length.

Predator is a horrible hero, so your best bet in that very specific situation is to get to LVL6, get Whispering Helm, and ult yourself and go jungle.
