Hello HoN-Community,

In the last 4 Weeks i've developed a Tool for Heroes of Newerth, the HoN - Hero Builder powered by http://www.hgs-esports.eu.

About HoN-Hero Builder

The HoN-Hero Builder is a tool to create and manage Hero Builds. You can choose a Hero, give him Items, try some new Item combinations, look at his Stats, Save & Load your Builds and much more.

The HoN-Hero Builder has an Update function. You can get the newest Items and Heros just by clicking on the Update Button.

Now I have finished a first Beta, which is ready to release.

HERO-SKILLS:
- You can level up the skills of your Hero
- Effects of certain Hero skills will be shown in the overview

ITEMS:
- Some items are missing: Portal Key, Ward of Sight, Ward Revelation and WingedCourier

BUILD-COMPARISON:
- It will be possible to compare two HeroBuilds with each other

The source Code has nothing to do with the source Code of bbus ! The tool is based on my own Ideas and my own developed Code.

I just got the Info that there is something wrong with the Load & Save function.

Can you use the Load & Save feature correctly ? Items are restored after loading a Build ?

hmm, theres a bug with the stats per level. If its say 2.9 strength per level, in the stats it says 29 :) missed the decimal points. Ends up with wildsoul having 600 damage without items etc.

Otherwise, I can see this being a good program when it's done!

Are you sure about that ? I don't have these Problems. Maybe you should Update your Resources by clicking on Settings --> UpdateManager and then Update Resources.

Hello Again,

there is a nice Update for the HoN-Hero Builder on the HGS-eSports (http://www.hgs-esports.eu) Page available.

Changes:

- new Heroes added
- all Items added
- Items are now sorted by Shops
- Heroes are sorted
- a new Update Manager added (you can now Download new Version of the HoN-Hero Builder just by clicking on the Update Button)


TODO:

- Skilling of the Hero Abilities (50% done)
- Some Item effects are missing
- checking Calculation of the Attributes
- ...

Ok im german and in german i have the message "Die Eingabezeichenfolge hat das falsche Format" in English sorry for bad translation "The input string has the bad format" i dont know why i doesnt work :/

b00st is right. I have heard from that error. And i am just searching for a Solution!


*UPDATE*

I have found the solution. It has something to do with the "." or "," separator for Numbers. It is now fixed and with the next Update you can enjoy the HoN-HeroBuilder!


I am going to release the Update for the Weekend, which you hopefully can download via the UpdateManager.

There were some other bugs i have already fixed.

Hi,

i have just released a new Update!

To Install it, you have to Click on the GeneralUpdate Button !
If you get an Error, you have to close the HoN-HeroBuilder and open the UpdateManager ALONE! Then it should work.

Major Changes are:

- fixed the Save & Load Bug
- fixed the Start Bug
- fixed some other Bugs
- new About Box added
- you can now scale down the window size and get some scrollbars
- some minor changes


For the next Update i will implement the feature that you can skill your Hero Skills.

Suggestion : Create a new visual for your tool. So we got the "HoN Feeling" :p

I have a feature suggestion. You should allow an input where someone can enter their average gold/min and xp/min. Then allow assigning an order of purchase to the equipment slots. Based on this you can add two stats. First, how long in minutes it will take to get to each piece of gear. 08:42 to boots, 16:53 to Helm, etc. Second, it can show what level you will be by the time you get each piece of equipment.

These two stats would be pretty useful for making sure you're building a gear set that is optimal for you, based on how well you farm. You can quickly look and see "Oh, well this piece of gear is very important for me but I won't get it until 37 minutes into the game, might need to work on it sooner" or "ok I should be able to get my riftshards by the time mid game starts" and so on.

Just my two cents.

The bug is that when you try to level up stats idk why but i putted scout on lvl 25, maxed out the normal skills, maxed ulti and when i going to put stats, when i try to lvl up stats past 4 my ulti goes lvl 2. then i put another point on ulti to go to lvl 3 and stat goes 3

first of all thank you for your Feedback and for all your Downloads (nearly 1000). In the last few Months i had some other stuff to do, but now i am willing and able to work on!
I want to develop some new Versions of the Tool and I hope you have some Ideas and give me your Feedback.

So my first steps are:



(Re)Organize the SourceCode ( 99% Done)
Updates of the Heroes and Items (70% Done )
Implement Heroe Abilities (50% Done)
Implement new Features and Values, e.g. DPS, Gold per minute etc. (70% Done)

A Feature to compare two Heroe Builds
A new Design for the whole Tool
...

I hope you have some new Ideas too !

In the near future, Mac/Linux Support it is not planned! But if you are able to get the .Net Framework working on your Mac/Linux System, you might be able to use the tool!
