btw if you dont know tri lanes mean there would be 3 to a lane, giving 2 heroes solo. anyone seeing this backing a comeback? it was a viable strategy long way back in dota, but it eventually faded away.

roamer or junglers make more sense.

we've tried sand+andro+witch in a lane, easy first blood and a nice freefarm for sand...depends on how the solos can handle a dual lane though

only works if the opponent picks weak lanes

which if they do, it works wonders

tri-lane can dominate an entire game. you dont just leave three people in the lane constantly. you have the tri-lane in your weak lane, the one you cant pull from.

you fb it with a ward behind the tower as the game starts or even as creeps meet. doesnt matter, the point is you establish dominance in that lane for your carry to the point where you can leave him alone or with minimal help periodically because when youre in the weak lane you can run through the other teams jungle without going past wards and get easy ganks on mid too.

carry tp's and you can gank your strong lane which is also being solo'd. thats if it goes right though... sometimes you see a trilane with ES and lion or some other hero and they just get outlvl'd are underfarmed and are deadweight because it wasnt successful or the other team played really cautiously etc etc.

3-lanes such as Sven+ES+Lion are quite common in DotA nowadays (European DotA atleast). This tactic guarantees freefarm for Sven while ES/lion are harassing the enemies, roaming/warding near the top rune and or ganking mid if needed. Potm and warlock for example can handle mid/easylane without much trouble usually.
