View Full Version : Disabler (hero suggestion)

Would like to see a really good support hero with an ultimate that can teleport an enemy unit away from fights. Could be intressting to test out new strategies.

Spell Q = Black energy. Drags the enemy united towards you for 1/2/3/4 secounds. (Oposite of electrition)
Spell W = Banish yourself/ally/enemy for 1/2/3/4 secounds.
Spell E = Passive, reduce all physical dmg taken by 5/10/15/20 % in a radius of X (not sure how large it should be)
Spell R = Staff of disable. Teleports an enemy or friendly hero to there fountain. Cast time 4/3/2 , can be interrupted.

The hero would have to be somewhat similar to Pollywod Priest in turns of HP/armor/move speed. And ofcourse int hero.

may sounds harsh but i dont think that HoN needs another electrician-like spell because Pollywog already has a similiar spell. In addition, i don't see any synergy effects in your spells. For example: Pugna (from DotA) can banish as well and afterwards use his nuke. Your hero can banish and what will he do afterwards..? Furthermore, i dont see the role this hero would fit in. How is he supposed to gain gold in mid/end game, he doesn't have a single offensive spell besides the first one. "Disabler" doesn't sound like a creative name either.
Would you want to play this hero? Standing in the last row, casting 1-2 disables and take a nap?
(Don't take this criticism personally/as an offense).

Its a pure support hero, and everyone gets farm if u know how to lasthit creeps. He isnt suppose to get imba with carry items, just a teamfighter that can turn battles around.

But ur right about the synergy in the spells.

Just gief a hero that can teleport enemy heroes back to base :P

But in the end-game phase it may be imbalanced because you basically get a free-enemy-port if you buy BKB (the one which makes you immune against any kinds of magic) and therefore can't be interrupted anymore. I don't see a way to counter this.

Have a Post Haste and just teleport back to the fight? :D

I like the ult idea, but a hero cannot have -just- support abilities. Every hero needs at least one damaging ability. Even the kings of Dota Disabling have nukes. Bane Elemental, Rhasta, and Lion, all have multiple disables, but still have great nukes.

Why would he target someone with a post haste then? It's unlikely that 5 players have post haste and he would target the tank/carry anyway. Why would axe/kraken/... have a post haste?

Kraken? To cast his ult in his fountain and immediately port somewhere and try to grab an enemy. It's good times.

I don't think that this is intended as well as it's (hopefully) not intended that he's able to use the portal key.
