View Full Version : Bloodhunter Ult
In my honest opinion Bloodhunters alt needs to be nurfed badly, going from the original 5sec debuf from dota to a 9sec debuf is just way to op. My friends and I have plays a bunch of games against Bloodhunter and have also noticed that the ult will continue hitting you even if your not moving is this working as designed or a bug.

It doesn't hit you, just displays the bleeding animation.

It has the same stats as in dota. The only difference is, that in DotA his ultimate's initial damage is magic. In HoN its dealing true damage too.

9 seconds
Enemy units
350 initial damage. Deals 60% of the distance moved as damage
9 second debuff. And it doesn't hurt if you don't move other then the intial damage. He probably got silenced by blood's first skill that does damage per second >_>.

Don't you guys think it's pretty op if the only counter is the tp away...

Well, for several heroes you can just fight and kill him. You can also disable him then kill him. TPing out is only for weaker heroes that bloodseeker is likely to target.
A level 18 bloodseeker tried to kill my level 25 nymphora with sheep/shivas/skadi/orchid/rapier. He ran up and ruptured me, I sheeped him and 4 shotted him.

No, any kind of magic immunity works too. Even standing still is a counter. You can purge it, etc. Unlike with stuns, you can even fight back. I've killed the BH after having his ulti cast on me several times. Teleporting is just one of the simplest counters.

uh, the counter you just suggested is "have 7 levels and a shitload of gold on him, then attack." ...horrible.
Its definitely an awesome ulti, but I think one of the reasons people might think its OP is because the BH wont use it unless running means dying and staying also probably means dying. Then it seems like you just have no chance, since you only see it used when the BH knows its gonna kill you.
really rapes casters and agi heroes hard, tho. the only hope a caster usually has if hes by himself (and isnt significantly more fed) is to chain disable and heal (if you can) or TP. remember that the BH can also silence you. Its a very powerful combo, just 2 skills on one guy.
neways, I still think the duration should be nerfed by 3 or 4 seconds.
EDIT - also, BH is fed extremely easily by noobs, so it enhances his appearance of imba-tude. I think the ulti should be cut down a bit, but he isnt a god. And because of his passive, once he starts owning he never really stops, in a fight. he should be a priority target because of that.

I think pyromancer's ultimate is too powerful as it does nearly 1k damage instantly. Can we get a nerf on this too? Please guys.

Blood hunter (HoNs version of Blood seekers) is usually easy to get away from, you just need to carry TPs and be quick with them. Usually that works :)
Bloodseeker needed a buff, but not to rupture. Don't make his already good skill even better. What he needs is a bloodrage remake.

Bloodhunter isn't actually even that intimidating even when you're ruptured, sorry, hemorrhaged. You don't always need to be stacked to stand and fight him off. It's not that TP Scrolls are the only counter, but they're a universal counter to hemorrhage. Even if the other team doesn't have Bloodhunter, it's a genuinely good habit to have a TP Scroll anyway. Every hero in the game has an escape hemorrhage, which requires it to be combined with either MKB/Bashers or another hero for it to become truely dangerous. Ultimately it's balanced because, for most of the game, Hemorrhage is the only thing Bloodhunter has going for him.

In dota it scales 5/7/9. Go ahead and check it yourself, you should have before posting anyway.

Don't you think it's pretty weak if it can be countered by a 135 gold item...

a lot of ultimate can be counted by swiftblade whirling blade ability that not fair either.
bloodhunter is a poor hero outside of pubby stumping since anyone good will either stand and fight or teleport out

It's the only ultimate in which the vast majority of the damage can be stopped completely, simply by any hero stopping movement.
Come on now.
