Is it possible if something else could be added to this ability? It's rather annoying how all enemies can easily run away out of range of the targeted whirlpool area right after you warp them all there. Maybe add a slight slowing effect also? I was forced to get shiva's guard and had to use it before my whirlpool pulled them in because they would always run too fast and be far away after it sucked them in. That combo is very good but why do I have to spend around 4000 gold to make my ult useful? Or am I just being dumb and it's fine? Just want to hear others opinions on this.

It's actually good... It's just he needs to be played by a good player to really see him shine. Kraken+Behemoth sitting and waiting = dead heros. His ult is fine and good, just takes practice. :)

I'm not saying it's hard to actually suck the enemies into the Whirlpool on Kraken. That's simple enough to do with just phase boots and his charge. I meant after they get sucked in and are warped to the other one, all the enemies often run away so quickly, especially when your team has zero AoE stuns/slows. I'm just wondering if adding a movement slowing effect after the enemies have been warped to the whirlpool would make it too good or not. The slow wouldn't have to be very strong or last long. I was thinking somewhere around 2-3 seconds.

His Whirlpool also suck in allies, correct? These needs a fix. Just played Keeper of the Forest; I jumped into the enemy Kraken's whirlpool on purpose and when everyone popped out the other side I ulted and my team came in for a Genocide. Major flaw with the idea of the ultimate.

Ah never thought about that Archangel. That is a good point. His ult can definately backfire at certain times like you said.

It takes good positioning, teamwork and knowledge to use that ability effectively, that or theres the Nymph combo of Teleport + Whirlpool + Fountain which i found hilarious.
It's a good teamwork ulti if u ask me.

Kraken's ultimate is fine, it shouldn't be usable within 800 of the enemy fountain though.

Well, a 1 second stun + 2 second 50% slow instead of the damage would be fine by me... Or just make them miss 70% of attacks for 4 seconds after they're sucked in, and also no damage...

I normally pick my hero last to counter or be more effective with my team and picking Behemoth with Kraken is indeed strong!
This is a team game and I don't think Kraken's ulti needs to be tweaked at all...

It's one of the strongest ultis in the game, that's about it.

Does it work now? Tried it a few weeks ago but teleport seems to cancel whirlpool.
Do this:
1. Stand in the fountain, start ulti, port on a building that enemies are trying to destroy
2. ?????
3. WIN

How do you actually use Kraken's ulti? I'm still confused how to use his ulti effectively. Can anyone enlighten me?

Works like this: Step 1: Target a spot on the ground. That will be the spot everyone appears after your ultimate fires off. Good spots are behind towers, small spaces, or bottlenecks that aren't easy to LOS out of or run away from. Towers also are good for early game because most heroes level 6-10 die to a tower + you + ult. Step 2: After you click a spot on the ground you have 6 seconds (at rank 1) to find an enemy hero or two. A whirlpool effect surrounds Kraken while this is going on. You should already have found your target enemy before hand so run straight at him. Enhanced Marchers help you run through creeps in the way and give you a boost of speed as well. If he notices and starts booking it, use your Tidal crash to zoom in and catch up to him. Step 3: After 6 seconds your ult does damage and then pops every unit within your whirlpool to the original location you targetted. Proceed to gank. This is best used defensively to seperate a push (only grab 1 or 2 heroes out of a pack of 5) or offensively (to rush into a base, grab that devourer or defiler) and kill them, then proceed to take the base. Hope it helps.

I think the damage to the ult needs a buff, 300 at level 16 for that much mana feels like a waste. Either that or make the activation time uniform, as getting the timing down gets hard as the time changes each level. I often find that the damage is so weak that I don't bother levelling it, as the 6 seconds at level 1 gives me more time to get in position.

This is the only real problem with the ulti. It's better at lvl 1 than lvl 3. Other than that, it definitely doesn't need a tweak, as moving groups of enemies to a location of your choosing is already very powerful. If your team doesn't work together to take advantage of it, then you won't get the kills. It rewards both individual player skill, in capturing the heroes in the whirlpool in the first place, and teamwork in securing the kills after the ulti goes off.

Yeah I never level it. It gets more expensive, and has a shorter timer to get in position. It does not scale with what the ability is supposed to do at all. Leveling it up should make it cost less mana, and increase the duration of activation (meaning you can travel further to pull people).

yea I agree that the scaling it could be tweaked a bit, particularly the mana cost. The activation thing is fine, it allows you to be more clutch anyway, yes there are pros and cons of having a 6 sec whirpool over a 4 sec whirlpool but overall I don't mind it.

what if they made it like xmts in dota? you can wait the whole time for ur ulti to go off or you can manually cast it anytime. eh?

I love Kraken, he is a LOT more fun and rewarding to play compared to 'give Tidehunter to your worst player and hope they land a decent ravage'.

yea his mana requirements are so immense though its annoying. At least with levi you didn't have to build mana items at all. Tsunami charge is an awesome skill nevertheless, certainly more useful then kraken shell, and whirpool can potentially be incredibly powerful. A huge threat of a hero neverthless, likely on the same tier as Levi and a severe threat of an initator.

I recommend resolving this problem by RESTORING TIDEHUNTER TO NORMAL (SHOCK HORROR)

Yea it's actually imo his strongest skill. Very flexible. Thing with kraken is that he went to being a very easy hero (Levi) to being a very intricate hero that really reflects on player skill. In fact I would go so far as to say you can learn alot about a player's skill based on watching him play kraken.

So it was actually a ganking + team ganking skill! I thought it works like Meepo's poof at first. LOL at me for being noob. Thanks for clearing that up for me :D

mayor flaw.. ? are you kidding or do you think that the skill whose counter is *don't run 1 mm away from eachother so everyone and everything get suxed in* is a mayor flaw?
it's a k ulti but unless the enemy is really stupid.. more thne one won't get caugth in it maybe 2 would be fun but more thne that.. then i question what noobs your playing against
that would be like saying *if this game had magnature his ulti would allways hit 5 players mayor flaw imba stun if hit all team*
"sorry don't mean 2 sound as agressiv as i do nothing personal but can't see the flaw in it at all"
