Hi, first of all let me just say that this thread is not meant to be a guide, more of a discussion opener. Secondly, it's not meant for someone new to the scene as they will not understand what I'm talking about (item-wise). As you can probably guess from the title I'd like to discuss how this new hero should be played. As a note I'd like to add that I'll be refering to items by their dota names as I don't know thier new names by heart.
Ok so this hero seems to be a semi carry, or a tank. Due to his lifesteal I think the best idea is to just go treads, couple of bracers and mordigan as a core build. After that it should be situational, depending on the need to tank/deal more damage one could choose between stygian desolater or stanaic. I've only played him once so any opinion is appreciated.Thx.
Cheers.

Things I like about predator: leap

Things I don't like about predator:
-huge frontswing
-lack of +AS to stone skin (compared to n'aix rage)
-IAS going to an ult that's really clunky to use on yourself in a battle situation because it's targetted.

My idea for fixes:
-less frontswing
-make the ult self-targeted only, I can hardly think of a time where an ally will need it more than I will for tearing down tanks/casters.
-Stone skin is ok if they fix the ult.

yeah, they need to fix the ult, it is actually so annoying, to actually have to target the ult on yourself, granted there are situations when an ally could use it more, these situations just don't come up often enough to warrant his ult being targeted.

But as to the actual thread that is pretty much the same build I go with. I usually start with with some stat items and tangos, then get a HoIW, build treads, finish armlet. After that it is either deso, satanic, or heart. depending on whether I need damage, more lifesteal, or regen and HP(ie. I want to be able to have armlet on 100% of the time)
