Mysterious gold coins appearing on my account

Earlier today I bought a $10 pack so I could buy the executioner Legio.
I had about 30 gold coins or so from before, and had the same after I had bought the alt avatar.
Now, after a match I suddenly noticed I have 1605 gold coins, which I have no idea where came from.
Is it some kind of special random gold giveaway or something?
Because I really can't afford at the moment to be charged for a $40 pack since I'm low on money, which is why I bought only a $10 pack.

I just don't want to spend them until I know for real whether they took my money or not, because I can't afford to pay for it, but if it's some kind of random giveaway I would ****ing love S2 :p
