Its simple. The most mind blowing MOBA or any RTS when it comes to graphics right now has to be DOTA 2 without a doubt. Graphics are what attracts people. Never mind people claiming HON don't need any graphics. Just ignore them please S2.
Presentation is whats the most important thing in life first impression says it all in the real world. Anyone who has done business studies will know this. Graphics won't improve gameplay yes we all know, but HON has solid gameplay it don't need anymore right now. S2 has done a remarkable Job at this there is no questioning this.
However with DOTA 2 on the rise it is time S2 looks at revamping the graphics in HON. Texture update can be done make them HD finally. Then implement Pixel Shader 4.0 just like how DOTA 2 has them. Implement HDR like how it is in DOTA 2. Change the art direction a little. Atleast for the maps. The maps are extremely outdated and can use an update.
I recently played 100 hours of DOTA 2 and came back to HON for the simple reason. HON is a far more mature game and far more perfected than any game I have seen on this planet. Especially with S2 staff regular on the forums.
I like this game a lot and I would like to see this game continue to improve in every area. Currently the visuals are lacking.
