View Full Version : Pop up on Desktop or taskbar when match found.

Every time I queue I alt tab, one can only look at the shop while queuing so many times. Now I browse the web or post on the forums while waiting for a game to be found. Its very tedious to alt tab back into the game just to check if its found a match every 30 seconds. If there was a pop up on the desktop or a notification in the task bar we would no longer have to constantly switch back and forth between desktop and the game. Now I know there's a sound that plays but I don't have the game sounds turned on so I can listen to music or podcasts. I'm sure this feature would help many people avoid randoming in games because they missed their interval to alt tab in slightly :).

A combination of what Dota 2 and what Smite does + an extra suggestion would be excellent.
1. Dota 2's icon on the taskbar flashes yellow when a match is found.
2. A popup notification bubble appears in the system tray when a match is found in Smite.
3. Play the queue-pop sound even when alt-tabbed/game is muted/sound while game is in the background is disabled.
A combination of all 3 will ensure less people are afk during hero picks =)
Also, add a poll to this thread so people can T-UP/T-DOWN the suggestion.

Yeah I actually got this idea from playing a few games of smite, if you miss the 30 second interval to enter the game in smite. You get a 10-15 minute deserter status and can't join any games. Needless to say that little system tray notification and sound has saved me many times.

Excellent idea! A little taskbar popup is very non-intrusive as well.

I like this idea! They should even add a minimize option in HoN so that you can minimize it to tray when its looking for matches and then you are notified when a match is found.

They need to add it to when the group disbands, or if the group Un-readys for no reason.
Or atleast make some sort of noise that you are no longer in que
A simple sound like in SMNC would be nice.
