Not sure why never seen these mentioned. I think 2 simple options if added before starting a MM will help a lot in increasing MM fairness and reducing rages.

1. Min and max numbers of people in a team you want to play with/against.

So a soloed one will no more match against a team of 4/5 if he'she doesn't want to.

2. Min and max MMR you want to play with/against, where your own MMR must be inside the range.

So everyone will and must be happy with the MMR's they play with/against. And people can choose to be pink/blue or brown/orange, depending on whether they want a bit challenge or just want to stomp! How awesome is that!

People can make the criteria as stringent as they wish, but trade-off in time to actually start a game is necessary.

Give people the power and flexibility to choose who they want to play with; then people will admire you and have less excuses to rage.

What do you say?

As I expected, no one comes here, no one reads posts here, S2 staffs do show here. And they don't let you post suggestions in general discussion.

People have lives. It's not like the entire Suggestions community comes onto the forums and reads every post daily. You should wait at least a week for a decent representation.

On top of that, many people would rather post nothing than respond negatively - there are a lot of suggestions on the forums that just won't work, and responding to every one of them explaining why it doesn't work consumes too much time, and doesn't achieve nearly enough to be worth it. It's not fun shutting down suggestions that people are enthusiastic about. For me your suggestion falls into that category, and I'm only responding now because of your second comment.

1. The system already works so that a solo player cannot be queued against a team of 5, and if you're solo against a team of 4 chances are you're with a team of 4 also.

2. The system works to try and get the fairest games for everyone at the moment. Giving people these MMR options would simply make it harder for the system to do this. And you don't need options for these anyway: if you want to play more challenging games, just improve your MMR*; If you want to stomp, create a new account.

*(If you can't then the games you are playing are clearly challenging you enough anyway)

The truth is people rage at current MM. Read the General Discussion forum.

If reading carefully, one can find most of the rage there can be greatly mitigated by these 2 easy options.

Speaking of reading carefully, read what you quoted. One of your "easy options" is already built into the system, and the other simply isn't needed - if players want more challenging games they can improve their MMR, if they want easier games they can create a new account.
