I've always wanted to see a robot like character in Dota, and I think with HoN, a really rugged looking steam/rocket powered, mechanical automaton would be awesome.
Attribute: Strength
Range: Melee
Role: Anti-Caster
Abilities:
Uppercut: Using a massive steam/rocket powered engine in his arm/shoulder, The Sentinel charges forward and releases a devastating uppercut to enemies in close range.
Any enemy hit directly gets knocked into the air briefly, similar to Pebble's Toss, but just straight up and down. 1 second charge up, high damage. You have a circle AoE that you aim, Sentinel rev's his arm back, then almost instantly dashes forward and uppercuts the area.
AoE: Cast range 500, 300 range for damage, targets within 150 get launched.
Damage: 95/190/285/375
Reconstruct: The Sentinel shuts down temporarily, purges its' system of impurities, and repairs itself.
This ability will stun the Sentinel, making him unable to take any action, remove all debuffs, and give him increased regeneration, at the cost of less armor during the duration of the spell. The level progression I'm thinking of is...
Healing: 40/50/60/70% total HP over duration.
Duration: 7/6/5/4 seconds.
Armor: -4/-6/-8/-10 Armor during the duration.
Cooldown: 90/75/60/45 seconds.
A great little self heal, a little dangerous though, because while you are healing, you're completely vulnerable, and take extra damage. There was this really cool animation in Warcraft 3, of giant mechanical golems piecing themselves together from the ground up, thats the type of animation I see for this ability. Sentinel falls to pieces, then reconstructs himself.
Reflective Armor: The Sentinel's shiny metal armor has a chance to reflect spells back at the caster.
Passive, chance to avoid taking damage from spells, and reflect the damage/status effects back to the caster.
Chance: 4%/8%/12%/16%
This is the Sentinel's source of tanking. I want casters to have a rough time with this. This can also make him great to counter AoE spam teams, like Torturer, Defiler, Pyromancer, etc.
Ultimate- Rocket/Steam Fists: The Sentinel detaches his fists like missles and stuns his target. This ability can be fired twice; left fist, and right fist.
Damage: 100/150/200 per fist.
Stun: 1/1.5/2 seconds per fist.
Range: 550/650/750
Cooldown: 120/90/60 seconds. Each fist has a seperate cooldown.
This will help get the Sentinel to his squishy targets, and set up for the Uppercut. Also having 2 seperate casts available will help him always be able to stop a channeled spell when he needs to.
I really wanted this hero in Dota to have something that could punish AoE heavy teams, Spectre's Dispursion was nice, but I wanted a hero less squishy than her. I think having the robot on your team will really help those uphill battles into the base where the enemy is just throwing out AoEs, or when you're about to get nailed by the Behemoth with a Portal Key. They might think twice about initiating on the Brobot .
