Login failed : unknown error

Please help, this message came about 5 days ago, left on vacation came back still the same, i cleared the fields retyped it, still nothing, logged in inivisible mode then patch came, downloaded it game restarted and still same error

- enter some wrong password
- exit game
- start game
- enter correct password

Happened to me in the middle of a game. Said something along the lines of "You can't keep playing if you're not logged in" and then I dced. Trying to relog and faced with "Unknown Error". Cleared all fields, restarted game, nothing worked. I have no mods.
Tried logging in with another one of my accounts (that is not linked to my main one, because sub-accs didn't work either) and then I could log in, so it seems to be an account-based error.

Any further updates on this would be greatly appreciated.
