Found a solution!
Replace your FoC with this File https://dl.dropbox.com/u/56936034/caldavar.s2z. its in the Heroes of Newerth contents map folder.
You can also replace Midwars to get rid of white environment by replacing https://dl.dropbox.com/u/56936034/midwars.s2z.

Since the patch this morning I can no longer get into games. In matchmaking the 'loading assets' screen gets to around 99% done then stops. In public games I get a message like 16429 unread bits or some other number like it. Anyone else got this problem? Any ideas?

Try clicking "Repair install" from options or contact Tech Support (http://helpdesk.s2games.com/)
Were you able to successfully patch up to 2.6.11?

I have the same problem. The loading bar freezes at like 99%. I can't even spectate my friend. Like Pilot said, the error message was 70000 something unread bits.

Got Same problem too... Mac User too. Tried everything: Restarting the game, tried to join public games, re-installed HoN completely and updated it too. Still no good. Any1 Fixed this yet?

Same here. Since i started playing hon in my mac i can never play on fridays.

The game hasn't stopped responding or anything, loading just stops at 99%.

Bottom of options in-game
Same problem, loading assets just gets to the very end and freezes, doesn't let me in any matchmaking game.
In public i can get in the games and start them but the hero selection pool is all black. It just shows a black box where the heroes were.
So in order to play i have to random, in public, every time. Please fix. This is everyone.

Tested on other maps... It seems only Forests of Caldavar isnt working. The other 2 are fine but in Mid Wars the environment is messed up. All i see is white.

I had same problem with midwars map. I solved it by replacing map in game folder. So please upload Forests of Caldavar map. Lets try do this with FoC too.

it has successfully patched up to 2.6.11, it just cant get into the game

I actually edited that into the first post, so you'll have to ask the person above you for that info as I don't know the file structure for Macs.

im with mac btw
the "maps" folder is found at : Applications/Heroes of newerth/game/maps
In there you need to put(replace) those new downloaded maps.
In case if you dont know how to get in the Hon Contents... just right click on HoN in applications folder and click "Show package contents".
If you still can't find the maps folder, a re-installation might fix it.

Worked for me. Its pretty easy to replace those files as described above. Really annoying bug.

Alright, try using the Repair feature on the new installer to fix this problem or re-download a fresh installer to fix this - it's not something that can be fixed using a patch.
