Given the ever increasing amount of alt avatars out there, I believe that any further alt avatars (to preserve the coolness of alt avatars in general) should a change of pace from the original one, and I believe all 4 of their spells (if possible, such as not being passive) should look/sound different.
For example people claim there are already too many Devo alt avatars, or too many Flint alt avatars. Let's take a look at them.
Both Devo alt avatars are very similar to each other, and very similar to the original. Only the hook even looks different. Why not for Clown Devo make his decay red or something?. Flint is the same story, we've almost made it impossible to give Flint another avatar because there are just too many, and I'm sure we can think of some better ideas that the ones currently in place. Although Clint Eastwood alt was a nice touch.
An example of a good alt avatar (just off the top of my head). Uncle Sam Engineer. All of his spells look and sound different. Perfect for what an alt avatar should be in my opinion.
TLDR - Basically every alt avatar you release in essence makes it harder to release another one, due to their being too many alts type of thing. It's like if you were operating a parking lot for a car show with limited space, but high demand of people getting their cars in, and you settled for some mediocre cars being let in while there are still really nice ones behind them. That's the analogy that came to my mind, IDK. There should be a certain standard for alt avatars, not just throwing a bandana on bubbles and calling him ninja bubbles. Because now if someone posts a really good bubbles idea, you're going to instantly think...well he already has 2, even though one is so bland and a complete waste.
