I seriously love how people are complaining about having paid for things they could have gotten for free now, or how they can't get the free stuff this week. You know, S2 could have NOT put this stuff up for free, and NOBODY would be getting stuff, but you're too selfish to realize that and just take it for granted. Play 10 games solo and win the Doll Master Avatar. Play 25 games with or without a friend to win the Mega Store Bundle, play 10 games with a friend and win the Friend Bundle (I think it was callled that). If you play 25 games and only 1 with friend you will get Doll Master and the Mega Store Bundle, not the "Middle" thing.

1. About lol, thats not true, I logged my acc like after a year or so and i had "donator" tokens (or w/e they call it like) for 3 or 4 the most expensive heroes. Friend told me that they give them for any inconvenience that occurs.

2. The major issue (at least that's how I and some mates of mine see it) is, that getting 2-3 items instead of 30-40 (something about that in those 2 bundles, right?) feels kinda unfair ;] givin' out some gold/silver coins would feel much better imho.

Legacy gets way more than F2P, they just can't realize it.

Why the heck are you nagging at the legacy players in the first place? The issue here has NOTHING to do with legacy players and what they get, it is like moving away from the topic at hand just to say ''All I've got is a potato and you've got a whole cake''. This is about the people who paid for the avatars don't even get silver coins or even the opportunity to store the avatars in a backpack and maybe trade them later on.

I'm a legacy player and I wouldn't mind S2 offering the same benefits legacy players have if they pay 30$.

Finished 25 games on 3 of my accounts (2 beta, 1 'normal' legacy) and now busy on my 4th account, even though I already own all alts, and taunts, on my main it is always nice to get the incentive to play more games to unlock alts also on my other 3 **** around accounts.
Maybe you should have an offer like this more often - but only with 1 hero alt, and for 3 days (tuesday, wednesday, thursday?) - so if people play 10 games (of which 5 with friends they can earn 1 free alt each month. It wouldn't even have to be an expensive alt or anything, just an incentive for the players to play more.
And like I said I already own all alts, so I don't really care about "missing out" on any bonus, I have spent a LOT of money on HoN and I will continue to support S2 for making such an awesome game.

Asking for coins back for avatars you've already bought is like arguing for EA money back once the hero is released to the public.

Not at all. You buy EA knowing full well EVERYONE is going to have it in a month. Also when you bought EA in the past it automatically came with a unique avatar that you wouldn't be able to get in the future.
With the avatars, you bought them expecting it to be something people had to make a voluntary choice to get or to pass up in favor of a different one. Now everyone has them. (except for me, as I'm in Israel and can't play HoN right now, lol.)

Of course legacies are complaining, they've got the most reason to complain. You make it sound as if it's only the legacy players who are complaining.

And for the third or fourth time, whether someone has a legacy account or not has nothing at all to do with this issue. Take it to some other thread or a discussion where it is relevant, it sure as hell isn't here. I wouldn't mind an option for you to pay 30$ for the same benefits.

Well the problem is u dont get the avatars 2 times, only once. So u cant resell them or give

I would rather compare it to the stockmarket, you have like a document worth 20 dollar and sell
it to someone. The enxt day u suddenly give it out for 1 dollar or for free, making the 20 dollar
someone invested into it worthless.

Let's move on to the argument elgacy players are already treated because we get all the heroes.

That`s nice..S2. But in Patch 2.6.10 the new patch after the prizes I got crash... I can`t write my nick and pass to log-in? How can I fix this ? When I click something, it shows me error : Do U want to save the crash.. ok I saved then what ? again same thing.. HELP?

This is a fantastic promotion, however, in future you should make it based on "wins" and not on games played. Too many trolls coming out of the woodwork with their usual phrase "it's only casual, i'm just here to end the game quick" and then they run around doing nothing.

I'm seeing a lot of people complaining about how the legacy players have it so much better than they do. We get all the new heroes as their 1 month EA period ends, and you guys don't. True. Why? Because we bought the game before it went free to play with stupid rules. I wanted them to keep it so that you could pay for the game and have everything a legacy player had, just no legacy title or something. They didn't. Which makes it their bad, not ours.

They also told us legacy players that they were never going to introduce heroes that you had to pay to play. While they haven't technically broken that promise, they've broken the spirit of that promise with EA heroes that you have to use gold coins to purchase early access to. They started out with everything being reasonably priced in the coins that you could earn by playing the game, and now they put the prices of new avatars at such high silver prices that one can hardly hope to get so much as one new avatar through silver in a month, unless one spends all of his or her time playing this game. And people complained, but many just shrugged and bought gold coins, not just for themselves, but to support S2 and HoN. And with those gold coins, we (I include myself as someone who has bought gold coins) purchased avatars, couriers, taunts, symbols, and icons (though I won't include custom account icons in this argument as you can have and alternate between more than one, unlike the other shop items). And even more people -- than just those who have bought gold coins -- have spent many hours playing the game and supporting S2 by inviting friends to play with us, thus earning silver coins to spend on those items from the shop.

And then there are the new players, the ones who have yet to support S2, the ones who seem inclined to dislike the players who have supported S2 or who have legacy accounts. Why? Because these players, especially the ones who supported S2 when they needed it most -- at the beginning of HoN's existence, at a time when if we hadn't bought the game the game would have faded away into obscurity -- we get what we paid for. And THIS; this simple truth of how trade and agreements work, enrages you. You feel as if you're not being treated fairly, and in truth, you're partially right. You aren't being treated fairly by S2, as they have only provided once or twice the opportunity for the players that have only started playing since after HoN went F2P to purchase full access to heroes.

And perhaps this is S2's misguided way of trying to rectify their mistake. Their very misguided way. But in doing so, they are making the distinction between new players and long time supporters of S2 even larger, while at the same time frustrating and disappointing the players who have proven themselves most deserving of respect from S2. And in some cases even angering them, us. They are doing this by taking away the value and meaning of having things that we have earned and spent money acquiring. Things that we can only have one of on each of our accounts.

If a man buys a t-shirt one day, and is given another free the next day, he now has two t-shirts. He can keep both, or give one away, or even sell one to someone who wasn't there for the free t-shirt event. Not so with the avatars, taunts, couriers, icons, and symbols being given out in this event by S2. If we already had something being given away in this event, we aren't given another copy to at a later point to give away to a friend or another account of ours. We are simply left sitting, watching with eyes that want to be disbelieving, as all of our money, and most of our hard work, loses all value.


And I know most of you will not read even a part of this, seeing it as too long. But I have nothing better to be doing with my time, so here I sit, and here I write. From now on though, unless I see something that I really MUST respond to, I will only respond on this thread to people who post directly to me with posts deserving of responses.

Then I read the 2.6.9 patch notes which just pissed me off. All those avatars I already had and which I spent a fair amount of time obtaining, you just give away for free to every single n00b out there. Well done, cheers! Why not make another event where the prize would be everything you can get in the in-game shop! Yay! Oh wait.. Then no one would buy your gold coins as they already have everything you can get and you would loose another source of income. Well done S2. I don't really mind these events where you give out new avatars like that puppet master. But giving out avatars like Cyber Valk which costs 3000 silver coins, what about those who spent like 200 games to get those 3000 silver coins to buy that one avatar? They just got slapped in the face some days later when you announce that you will give it away for free to every nolifer out there.
