My suggestion is that player who random at an allpick mode should not loose 250 and should start with 853 instead of 603.
It seemed much fairer that way ... It gave people the push to random and they could learn other heroes , now there is no reason to random at an allpick mode except if you are bored or don't know what to pick ...

its because if u random u most likely screw up ur team's lineup - so they made it less interesting for u to random

Then leave the bonus gold if you random at the first 5 seconds so team have not been formed yet?

Its unfair to F2P who have access to only a certain pool and thus skew the results of randoming.

Then to f2p accounts should only have the random button available at the cost of 1 tokken and randoming heroes from the whole hero list (except from EA ofc)

yea that might actually be a good idea - but if everyone has to react very quickly to get these bonus 250 it might happen that the whole team randoms right away and therefore screwing it up for everyone
so i guess 5 seconds rnt enough to decide
maybe 30 seconds and/or a maximum of 2 ppl r allowed to random with 853 starting money

I don't know the exact reason they removed it, but here is why I think the change should stay:

I used to play with 3 or 4 friends of mine. We were all rated around 1600 +/- 50, but we had one friend (1850+ professional HoN player as well as other games, averaged a 3.0kdr in rated games) who would sometimes play with us, and sometimes this is what they would do.

1850+ Professional friend ("Friend A") would instantly random as soon as the game started. He started with bonus gold. Friend A would tell another friend ("Friend B") what hero he wanted (usually a hard carry--chronos, for example). Friend B would pick that hero (Chronos) and swap it to Friend A. Now Friend A starts with extra gold--and even though he was going to already--dominates the early game even harder.

That extra gold makes a big difference in the early game. Starting with iron shield + some regen for melee agi's. Having an extra +2 stats than the other mid. Starting with bottle + stats or regen. Major disadvantage to the other mid and the other team's lanes.

Think about that before you ask for the extra gold back. You do get the extra gold in All Random mode, and I agree with that since it's more fair.

EDIT: Now if you want to have extra gold for randoming, one possible solution could be to make it where you can't trade heroes with someone who has randomed.

yup good solution to that problem - but its not rly a big problem to begin with
still one hero would be "random" and might be bad ...so those 250 more gold might not even be worth risking that one fail pick
(but yea i agree with u what u said in ur unedited post)

I think that being unable to swap randomed hero is quite fair. But i think it's quite balanced to get 250 gold when you still have chances of getting a hero that you might dislike or is bad for the team setup
GIVE US BACK RANDOMS S2 :)

+1 for random gold before 30 seconds.
If they trade heroes they lose the extra gold.
It was good incentive to try new heroes out.

ONLY get the Gold if all of the Team randoms :) if team is completely screwed by all randoming atleast give em bonus gold then.

I like this solution too. Or maybe you don't lose gold as long as you trade with someone else who randomed?
