I am looking for a (hobby-) artist who could help producing a Logo for my club.

I already created a concept , but it obviously needs some polishing: http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk186/Zahnfleisch/IMG_1997.jpg

This is supposed to be a stylized "PT". The "T" is supposed to merge with an implied bookpage on the right side.

There are a few things that I am not quite sure about:

- Should there be a foundation-layer under the logo in order to make it background-neutral?
- Is it symmetric enough?
- Should I use abstract letters for the implied bookpage (like on the picture) or "real" letters?
- Should I use perspective?
- Is there a way of making the bookpage more recognizable?

If there's any artist out there who would be willing to share his experience and eventually produce the final concept as a vector graphic, just let me know.

Hello fellow!
Let's start answering the questions:

- Should there be a foundation-layer under the logo in order to make it background-neutral?
This could happen just by addinig some shadow.

- Is it symmetric enough?
I think this is not really symmetric...
The "tail of P should match to top P (at length) and if you want the right part of T becoming a book, maybe put an "abstract" tail to continue the outline of the book.

- Should I use abstract letters for the implied bookpage (like on the picture) or "real" letters?
If the abstract letters are clear enough, there is no need of using a real font.

- Should I use perspective?
I don't really know what you want to use but definetly it is optional.

- Is there a way of making the bookpage more recognizable?
Maybe more lines and the right shape-colour mix. You always must have an output to compare, though...

I can give a few shots on this, since you have the main concept, I won't need to think of it, just make it.

Thanks for your reply. I'd really appreciate any attempt to realise this concept.
